Last night, (Valentines day) I went on a non-romantic date with a friend that I have had for over a year. We went to dinner than came back to my place and just talked for about three and a half hours. We have never really spent personal time together one on one before this.

I don't know if she has any romantic feelings for me, but I believe that I am starting to have some toward her. Would this kind of activity (just talking for so long) be some indication that she might feel something for me? How should I go about asking her on another date? I wouldn't want things to become weird between us.

I would ask her out again not as a date but more like hey lets go catch that new movie or hey i need someone to go to dinner with me and this great resturant ive been wanting to try out. Id keep doing this and wait and see if she clues you in to how she feels. After a few times i think youll know pretty sure after.

Don't view it as a date. Think of it as two friends who just enjoyed an evening together and say something like: "You know, I really enjoyed the evening. Want to go to a movie on Friday night?" This way it's not seen as a date but two friends getting together again. If it's meant to be, the two of you will eventually grow on each other. One thing, conversation is great, but laughter is better. If you're looking for a long term relationship with her, make sure you share a sense of humor. Conversation, commonalities, sex are all useless if you can't laugh together.

Sounds like you should ask her out again. Next time try for a g-night kiss. Then you will know if there is any romantic feeling for you. G-Luck :)

I don't think she would spend that much time "talking" to you if she didn't have some of the same feelings you do. I think your at the beginning of something great & you were friends first. I would pursue it. good luck!!!
