usually the over the counter meds that you can buy takes about 3 months for the treatment to work and you can see the effects thereafter.
If you need it removed right away, consider the Dr. and they will freeze it to get rid of it

I had a plantar wart on the bottom of my foot for MONTHS. Tried the home treatment that you buy in stores... Didn't help one bit. So we found a foot doctor and he was able to get rid of it for me. He cut part of it off, then froze the rest off. Took maybe 3 or 4 trips to his office for me.

Soak the wart in warm soapy water, till it becomes soft. Rub the wart with a pumice stone or emery board. Repeat the procedure on alternate days.. Cashew oil, lemon essential oil and tea tree oil could be used to treat warts.More details and remedies at the link below.
