It is written to not forsake your assembly with the Saints, especially when you see the day of Christ nearing.
Also, there is a special blessing in corporate praise, when all are participating and worshipping God. God is battling our battles for us. And faith comes by hearing and hearing a word about God/ Christ.
If you feel bad about not going to Church, then it could be the Holy Spirit convicting you. Or it could be the devils condemnation. Conviction comes from the love of God. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. If God tells you to God to church, then you should obey, otherwise you will get in trouble.
Yes God cares. But depending on the Church, God might not want you to go to that Church. He might want you somewhere else.
Ask God, praying in Spirit & Truth. Rejoice in your spirit in the Truth. Love rejoices in the Truth. God is Love. God will direct your path to the Holy Bible / Word of God, Faith based Church. And it has to be salvation by Gods Amazing Grace, and not by works, etc...

The reason Church is good is cause you need to be fed spiritually, if you don't feed yourself spiritually by reading the Bible and fellowshiping with other believers you run the risk of dying spiritually, so yes I don believe God cares if you go to church or not. Just make sure the church you choose is Biblicaly sound and preaching his word. You don't have to go to church to be saved but a good church can keep you on the right track and give you people to lean on during the hard times.

Yes, God definitely wants you to attend church. My experience is that people who don't like going to church must of had a bad experience. If this is you, I'm sorry. When you find an awesome church, you will enjoy attending. It is good to fellowship with other believers, especially when you are going through bad times. My suggestion to you is that you ask people who you trust where they go to church and why. Sit in on a few sermons. You can't make a decision after one visit. If you find a church you are interested in, talk to the pastor and the elders of the church to make sure the church's direction is the same as your direction. Also pray, God will not lead you to a church he does not want you to attend. I will pray for you. Good luck!!!!!!!

The real purpose of going to church was to teach the people about God. If you feel you already know God and you have a good relationship with Him, I don't think it's necessary to go, unless you have nothng else to do on a Sunday morning.

I'm atheist, but if God were to exist, I'd say he wouldn't care if you went to church or not.

You don't need to go to church
Think about where did they say Jesus preached in the Fields on Hills where he felt closes to God
I go to a Spiritual Association at a Library and we don't even have a bibles, instead we have singing laughter and happiness, people that are like minded and willing to give and receive Love to help and to heal : )
Love & Blessings

Church is not an obligation, Christianity is about love, Love God love your neighbor and love yourself. If you do those by praying and reading scripture and helping people out then you're alright, but it's good to be around other believers, that is what church is about being with other Christians, and Christianity is love.
