It's only dangerous to your health if you try to clean it with bleach.

"Mixing bleach and cleaners containing ammonia, or using bleach to clean up urine can create toxic chloramine gases and an explosive called nitrogen trichloride." - wikipedia.

Urine contains ammonia which can affect you if too concentrated. Once didn't realize the cats had found an older litter box we used for foster kittens and had left in the garage. The fumes were so strong that I became short of breath and nauseous (I'm sensitive to chemical fumes). It wasn't life threatening or health hazardous, but it made me feel very ill.

Fumes are not dangers unless really concentated, but you would of cleaned by then because the smell will be outragous. The urine is not dangers in and of itself. In fact Urine is sterile unless there is a bladder infeection. But the feces of cats (don't know about dogs) do contain a bacteria that can be harmful to unborn babies. Hence if your expecting you shouldn't clean your cats litter box.

A concentration of fumes from urine and feces is not life-threatening,if that's what you mean. But it is unhealthy and can cause lung and upper respiratory problems to susceptible humans AND animals. There is ammonia in urine after all!

any urine could be undesirable to your well being if left untreated for an extremely long term. micro organism and mildew will start to develop. and it relies upon on how plenty urine you're having to handle. purely sparkling it up and you need to be nice.
