I will soon be 15 years old and I am an only child. My parents have always wanted more children and have tried many times but my mother has had 4 miscarages. Its been several years since she tried last but chances of her succeeding in another birth arent very high. Both my parents have seriously considered adopting but for some reason my mother keeps backing out and my father says no. I hate being an only child and i have been encouraging this since i was 6 years old. My mother was seriously thinking about looking further into it tonite, but wouldnt even begin to know where to start. We are financially able and our house is too big for the 3 of us anyway.... help!!!!

Wow. Seems like your parents can provide a beautiful upbringing for all those babies, children who are less fortunate.....Tune to the Save the Children pre-paid programs, religious network go online and get info on children from other countries who are orphaned due to AIDS, civil wars, etc....i believed they will then have a change of heart.

PRAYER IS POWERFUL, give this a try first.

GOD BLESS YOU

Maybe you should talk to him about why he doesn't want to adopt. Also talk to him and tell him how you feel. I know sometimes its hard to talk to our parents about this sort of stuff, and if your not up to it, maybe consider writing him a letter letting him know how you feel.

Let him give you feed back on the way he feels. That way you can understand his point of view too. Remember, sometimes we get carried away in our own thoughts that we forget how others around us our feeling.

Then if he is in doubt about the adoption, research what hes doubting and resent positive facts about it.

Oh, don't forget to involve your mom too, because shes also part of the decision.

Hope it Helps!!!

to u:keep on keepin on!

keep encouaging ur parents and continuesly press them tell them over and over again.

sit somwhere around ur parents(this'll probably effect ur mom more)look at one place w/ ur eyes kinda sqinted and when they ask wat ur doin' say "thinkin" and then they'll say "wat about?" and then say wat it'll be like if u have another child and just go on and on about the good things and the good times you, this other child and ur whole family will have make them want it so bad they taste it good luck!
