Go the newy unless you know the full history of the oldy and it is good.

2003 model could have been built in late 2002. Could be any where from clapped out to near new. Will need at least a service

That being said the tcr is on Ultegra components and if not heavily used would be my pick.

A thorough check would be in order.

The OCR is only sora quality components but since it is new could well be the better buy.

P.S. Ultegra can be ridden into the ground and you don't have to be good to do it. You just need to do plenty of distance. Riders doing well over 6000 miles a year aren't as uncommon as you might think.

I'm not really sure how to answer this, I know the dilemma your in and I think if it were me I'd go with the TRC1. The reason being that if the bike itself is in good shape it tells me the bike wasn't owned by someone who is or was capable of riding those Ultegras into the ground and that group unless you are one H--- of a rider you are never going to destroy. So IMO would be the better buy.

The other thing you should consider is resale, your going to get alot more of your money back if it's running an Ultegra Group than that Sora group, the way the bikes are priced should tell you that.
I think if you go with the 2007 with the Sora and your any type of rider at all your going to be replacing that group within a year or so and at that point you're going to upgrade to the Ultegras and that's gonna cost you more money. TRC1 definitely better buy.

Both of those bikes are pretty quick handling. The seatpost collar is a bother, but other than that, ride on!

Be sure to get a Pro-fit before you buy, and you'll be Sooo much happier!

I have ridden both, and don't care much for either... check out Specialized instead...
