I'm so sorry to hear what your going through..You are NOT alone, I have been suffering from very bad acne since the age of 10, I not only had it on my face but also on my back and arms. If you have a regular dermatologist I strongly suggest you change him/her. I have gone to doctor after doctor who have prescribed a load of junk that never worked, I get so upset that people think that doctors are God and their word is always right, no, most doctors today are in it just for the money and want a quick fix by prescribing you harmful RX drugs like Accutane. What you have to do first is stop touching the acne if you are, this was VERY hard for me and took almost two years of hard work and self discipline. The fact is when you touch or pop the acne it drives bacteria even deeper into your pores, spreads the acne and causes scars. For every one pimple you touch two form. I DO NOT recommend you see a regular Dermatologist but rather a Homeopathic doctor, which is a doctor that treats people without harmful pills or chemicals (RX drugs are VERY bad for our bodies and in the long run cause cancer). There is no one cause of acne, its a combination of many things, I strongly think it is a combination of hormones, meaning you are going through puberty or a hormonal imbalance, genes, if your parents have it and your environment, also please don't think because you're older you can't have acne, this is the biggest misconception people have, ANYONE can get acne because acne is not just cause by hormones. Heres what I did and I want you to do:
1.) Stop picking at the acne if you have trouble join this great support group that helped me..Stoppickingonme.com
2.) See a Homeopathic doctor (if you can)
3.) Get a test for your hormones, you might have a imbalance like high Testosterone if your female or high Progesterone if your male which most certainly causes acne and body acne and I was diagnosed with..do NOT take the first answer, get multiple tests done..it took me three tests to find my premonitions right.
4.) Start eating 100% ALL ORGANIC food, the food in our grocery stores is packed full of chemicals which cause obesity, cancer, acne and so many other conditions. The FDA did not want people to know this since they make WAY too much money off selling drugs but the good thing is people just now are catching on to this and there is organic foods available in stores now.
5.) Start using ALL NATURAL body washes, shampoos and soaps..it is rare to find them in stores, many are misleading by saying "natural" when in fact they are still packed full of chemicals but many stores on the internet have them, I order mine off ebay, type in "100% organic soap", if you are young and do not have a credit card you can send a Money Order on ebay. The soaps you are using now have over 1000 harmful ingredients and any ONE could be causing your allergy's and acne.
6.) Buy PURE UNREFINED Shea Butter which clears scarring and alleviates dryness, this is such a great cure, make sure its organic and unrefined though.
7.) Use soaps with Tea Tree, Chamomile, Lavender..all three are proven natural skin healers for centuries, especially the Tea Tree, Proactiv, the highly priced and commercialized product is nothing more than Tea Tree oil and the harmful chemical Benzol Peroxide (DO NOT USE BENZOL..it dries your skin and causes premature aging and wrinkles in the long run)
8.) Exercise and drink LOTS of filtered, clean water..it detoxifies your system and clears your body of all the chemicals you have been exposed to for all the years you have been alive.
9.) Don't wear tight clothing, this causes oils to get trapped into your pores which causes acne..wear loose fitting, synthetic fiber clothes at home.
10.) Get a good organic sea salt scrub that will help buff off dead skin cells.
If you follow all this I GUARANTEE you you will be cured of acne, eczema or any other skin diseases. Good Luck!

It is important to use skin friendly products and not pinch the pustules so that there are no scars formed. A good soap like Neutrogena or Cetaphil is recommended. Mild oil free skin creams should only be used . This link should provide more remedies.

I'M going to take a stab here and say your pretty young still? If so you may want to stop or slow way down on the sugars. I am a very mature adult and i still get unusual breakout of that on my neck and back of my head. Otherwise you might want to see a dermatologist for cystic acne.

Get a loofah on a stick and clean your back twice daily with soap with warm water. After bathing, use Oxy pads on your back twice daily too. Do not use lotion or creams on your back. Be sure to bathe after sweating or exercising. You should see an improvement in 2 weeks.

Don't try too many alcohol based products they can be very irritating to the skin. Just keep it clean. Hormones also play a part and sometimes genetics so keep that in mind.
