"Freedom and democracy" and "liberation" are just excuses used by the U.S. to justify aggressive military actions against any country. But the real goal is to take over and exploit the natural resources of that country.
There are a lot of countries today ruled by brutal dictatorships worse than Saddam (like Burma, Somalia, Nigeria, etc.). But why didn't the U.S. come to "liberate" them?. Is it because these countries doesn't have anything that would benefit U.S. economic interests?.

Yes, we are not the world police, however anytime there is a natural disaster or two 3rd-world countries decide to slaughter each other, the world inevitably turns to the USA to bring relief. I say if the world demands that we take responsibility as the nurse-maids of planet, then we Americans have the right to use that authority as we see fit.
As for "forcing" our democracy. I supposed you would prefer an oppressive dictatorship instead? The Mid-east has been nothing but a bad soap-opera since the 1940s. I give President Bush a big thumbs up for having the guts to take on global terrorism and two oppressive regimes ... possibly three if Iran insists on being stupid.

The US gets bashed & slandered but when the crap hits the fan in some far off place they have their hands out. Then they say we do too little! What do you consider 'democracy?' Maybe if other countries tried to do what is right & good and help those who cannot help their selves the world would be a little better? The US is not perfect, no nation is. Mistakes are inevitable. I guess we should have let Nazi Germany be too, huh? Many of you criticizing the US as we speak wouldn't even exist then. Every human in the world should have the basic freedoms that the US and OTHERS have. God given freedoms that many people have fought and died to keep.

After WW2, America feared Russian communism. The wars and battles since WW2 prove this. Korea, Vietnam, Iran-Iraq, Afghan-Russian. America didn't want communism to spread.
Now that the cold war is over or on hiatus, anything that goes against American interests, Republican presidents are always the first to go to war in the name of democracy.
Theory or Fact?. America is dependent on other countries' resources (Oil, lumber, hydroenergy, labor, economic well-being, etc.), that any force that blocks that resource is an immediate threat to freedom and that force is deemed anti-democratic.

Because they are the Biggest Kid on the block and just like any Bully they can make people do things their way. But then again maybe they just want us all to be good little Yankees or Southerners or hey just plain old Americans. No that may not be it either wait how about they just don't like it when others do things different than they do wait no that may not be it either. It probably is that they are so Self Indulgent that they can't see that we actually don't need their help unless we ask.

Because were the best country and if everyone were able to enjoy the freedoms and joys of capitalism that we have, the world would be a safer and richer place.
And the US is not a Democracy...the founders knew better than to do that. It is a republic.

Why are some French stupid? Wait only one.
We do not invade France because we do not want it.
We are not your police & I hope we will never rescue your critical little country. Why do you insist on criticizing the US - speak of something you know.

Sorry, but when the Islamic terrorists bashed two airliners into our skyscrapers, we became the police.
Democracy wasn't "forced" on the majority of Iraqis who literally risked their lives to vote for a government that would answer to them, rather than the other way around.
Be aware that the radicals in Iraq are not freedom fighters - quite the contrary - they are fighting to PREVENT freedom.
