it's not good to do it... but personally, i had braces for a year and a half like 5 years ago and i chewed gum all the time and it never once got stuck

Yes it tends to get stuck. But chewing sugar free gum, especially after tightening visits, reduces the severity of the pain. This happens cos, the chewing action stimulates the teeth and inturns stimulates blood flow so that the toxins that cause you to feel pain are removed quicker when the blood flow is increased. Try it, it works!

I chewed Trident White and it did not stick in my braces. Always make sure you chew sugar-free.

not for me! it depends how you chew it. when you do chew gum don't chew so close to the braces.

it depends on how long you chew it if its sugar it gets stickier quicker where it will get stuck in your braces. if its like no sugar it won't get sticky so i would suggest a non sugar one.
