Generally its recommended to alter (fix) a dog between 12 weeks and 6 months. Since she is seven months you should have her fixed as soon as possible. You don't want her to go into heat.

She's fine to do as soon as you bring her home. Females can spayed as early as around 6 to 8 weeks, but should wait to around 4 months (much earlier and there is a somewhat increased risk of urinary incontinence). As long as you get her done before sexual maturity, it will greatly reduce the incidence of mammary tumors, which is very common in intact females.

6 months is the recommended time. I'd get it done now because (well at least in aust.) the price for females depends on weight. Its cheaper when they are smaller though it sounds like a small breed so it probably won't make a huge difference.

You should make sure to have here Spayed prior to her first heat cycle which could be anywhere from 6 months of age to 10 months of age. 7 months old is a good time, i would get it scheduled.

Talk to your vet - Males is generally around 6 months, but I think with females it may depend on same other factors...It's great that you're having her fixed though. Hope she settles in well in her new home.

I think your puppy is ready, just call a vet and make an appointment. Its a hastle when they are older, this is the time to do it. Until then dont let around dogs for to long. Good luck!

Now is good. My puppy was 3 months old. But she will do fine at this age. I will not stop her one bit.
