Normally there is no developmental immunities to bacteria such as salmonella. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with it twice in my life and I hope you nor I ever get it again.

Immunity lasts for a short time. It is not lifelong, so you can get salmonella infection again.

Oh yes. Salmonella is a bacterial infection, not a viral one.
