I don't know about Nostradamus; but if you look back at history both WW's started as small regional conflicts and escalated until several counties were involved. Both World Wars only became known as World Wars after they had fought. Right know we are involved in two major conflicts. There are several smaller conflicts the US is involved in but are not really covered by the media. Korea seems to be taking advantage of the fact that several major countries have major military assets dedicated to the "war on terror". The US is looking very hard at Iran right know. Tension is still running high between Isreal and the Palestine nation. Who knows what else is brewing somewhere else in the world. Seems to me we could possibly be in the beginning stages of WW III. Unfortunately we won't know until after the fact.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk WW III.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when world war three will start, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers....the aging Russian command & control and early warning systems will mostly like cause WWIII....not the rump states in the middle east.

Nostradamus had said that the WW III would start in a Hindu country divided which is partly ruled by Muslims. That makes it between India and Pakistan. If we go by this then kargil war was a starting point who knows what else come.... Middle east into picture.
keeping these in view i suppose we have started the WW III its just a matter of time when the rest of the world jumps in.....

Yes of course. This is the war of civilisations. If not nipped in the bud, it may lead to a war of religions, between Muslims and Non Muslims. May I dare say, its the Muslims(Not all of them, of course) who are largely to blame for this. This is what happens whe religion interferes heavily with administration and dominates all aspects of our lives. No religion per say is bad, its only the way we interpret it and follow it. Thats what is happening in most of the mislim dominated nations. People dont see reason, dont follow logic and dont respect other religions and accept them as equals. One may have a lot of complaints, but killing others is not the way to resolve them. There are these elements in Hindus as well, The shiv sainiks and all. We must wake up, or else, WW III will spell dooms day as envisaged. I am not saying the US is right or others are right, only saying we must clean up our sct and start living happily together.

easily, i'd say Venezuela or Iran will start up international war III. Venezuela would group up with Ecuador to take war to Columbia (Hugo Chavez feels as lots love for Columbia as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad feels approximately Israel). With 2 countries against one, Columbia would fall and Venezuela be speedy to contain Columbia into Venezuela and unfold his Socialist ideals to Columbia and upload their oil production to Venezuela's nationalized oil product. From there, i could see Venezuela and Ecuador inflicting a huge ruckus in South usa, forcing the intervention of the UN. And after the UN gets in touch, Venezuela would probable plead to it is comrades in Russia (from whom Hugo Chavez has offered lots of Venezuela's new militia kit) for help - which may lead no longer in trouble-free terms to an escalation of the war in Georgia yet in addition to a war in Europe from Russia. and then we would have international war III as quickly as the U. S. have been given in touch to help it is allies in Europe. And Iran...that they had basically harm the Geneva Conventions, nuke Israel, stress large militia action against them...and then launch all their nukes in the previous in the previous dropping and heavily screw the international up. except we cut back their nuclear software - permit's settle for it, even the U. S. does no longer choose 5,000 centrifuges for enriching uranium for offering electric powered skill in trouble-free terms. Iran is obviously going in direction of weapons, given the fee at which they are bringing centrifuges on line.
