A Friend of mine got an XRay today to determine if there was still a kidney stone. When the technician completed the Xray all that could see was bone and no soft tissue at all. This technician that did the Xray requested that another technician come in and show her how it is supposed to be done..She wanted to redo the Xray. Apparently, the Xray was done wrong and she did not give my friend any protective cover for any other body parts to avoid Xrays. The Xray machine appeared to be the old type. What are the chances that this Xray would cause DNA damage? When the doctor arrived he was informed of the error and he could not determine if there was a kidney stone or not..What a waste.

Being xrayed twice shouldn't cause any damage. Even people who work with radiation often (and wear a special pin to gauge the amount of radiation the receive) don't get sick from it.

I'm sure that the radiologists know how much they can/can't xray a person!
