Should I take it back to the store? Should I mail it somewhere? Each of us has a different symptom of salmonella, and I don't know if it's linked, but I don't want to take any chances. Any help?

If you have Peter Pan or True Value Peanut Butter check the lid. There should be a series of numbers above the expiration date. The numbers from the recall start with 2111. If you have one of those jars, don't eat it!!!

There you go, it will tell you everything you need to know, just go to the far right, you will see it about the peanut butter.

I'd go to your local news website to find out more. There's also a free coupon for another jar of peanut butter. Also, check out http://investor.conagrafoods.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=97518&p=irol-newsArticlemedia&ID=963451&highlight=

We just threw ours away, but if you are getting sick I would keep so they can test it to see if it is salmonella. Just make sure that you keep stored where no one could eat anymore of it. Definitely go see a doctor.

keep a sample for testing and make a treat for the birds with the rest by spreading it on a pine cone or something. p.s. can birds get salmonella?

Take it back to where you purchased it. They will give you a new jar of unadulterated peanut butter.

Take it back to the store. They should be pulling it from the shelves. I think mine came from the Sylvester plant also.

Take it back to the store, and if you have any symptoms, go to the hospital so they can test you.

Call the store you bought it from and ask them. Then figure out who needs to pay your doctor bills.
