ok say u were dating a guy and u knew that he was being honest with you about how he feels and that he would always be there. But there was this whole other side of him that he was never honest about. what would u do?

ok i have like a secret identity. i believe my destiny is to protect people who cant protect themselves and i feel if i tell a girl about that side of me it would put them in danger.

He's dishonest about what? His education, family, even feelings he's lying about to me? Is it something he's hiding and afraid to let out (which i think is the case)?
Usually girls can tell if a guy is holding something back. If he holds it back to long, he will ruin the relationship which could have ended up developing into something great if he just would have been honest in the first place.

There's an old saying that goes...
Boys lie...and if they say they're telling the truth...they're lying.
Having said that...
I , personally feel that people will tell the truth to people that they feel comfortable in opening up and being truthful too.
Maybe he doesn't feel like he can come clean with whatever this is. Maybe he feels you wont accept him, will judge him, or it will be a mistake to do so.
Be accepting and forgiving, he may come clean about everything.
But honestly...often people say they want the truth, but they really cant handle or didn't want to know the truth.(human nature)

I think you should be as honest as possible without doing harm to others. You really need to look at your real reasons before you make a decision. I know for me once i am lied to i can never really get that total trust again. and that is oh so important

um it depends on what that other side was all about..did he murder someone, does he have kids he never told you about, a disease?? depends on how serious it is...you can't be honest and DIS honest at the same time..it all depends on how those other lies affect the relationship i guess. if it affects the other, then id probably talk about it and see why they lied, if its got nothing to do with the sig. other, then forget and focus on how they treat you..good luck ;0)

It depends what that side is. If you live an evil double life or something, that would totally suck and you should fess up to it. But if you're going to get serious, you'd need to share your whole self with her, not just part.

Well, if he isn't honest about it - how would I know? He would have to tell me about it first. I think that any relationship that will hold over the long term requires honesty. Think about it.

I WOULDN'T BE THAT MAD AT HIM BECAUSE AT LEAST HE WAS HONEST WITH ME ABOUT SOME THINGS. BUT IN A RELATIONSHIP TRUST AND HONESTY ARE VERY IMPORTANT. IF YOU FEEL THAT THE OTHER SIDE WOULD HURT YOUR SPOUSE THEN ITS UP TO HER TO JUDGE NOT YOU. LET HER IN DON'T SHUT HER OUT.

If you found out something about him that you dont like or he didnt tell you, you need to talk to him and get things straight.
