Yes I LOVE that place!!!

Pastrami on Rye...
Cole Slaw
Pickles
Root Bear

is my choice...
Never had room for desert!!!

As for cash only...
Not a problem
Peter Lugers has the same policy..

According to Zagats:
Carnegie gets 21 for food and the Stage gets 19....

Not just my opinion...
NYers speak...
Carnegies better!

My palms down appropriate deli is: 2nd Ave Deli 156 2nd ave. flow street: tenth street accompanied via Barney Greengrass 541 Amsterdam Ave flow st: 86th then... Katzs Deli 205 e. Houston street flow St: 6th Ave appreciate!!! Smiles

It's not the best deli in NYC. Hasn't been for years. Katz's on E. Houston at Ludlow beats it hands down, best pastrami of all time.

Yes, I've eaten there: my only regret is that my mouth isn't wide enough for their sandwiches.

My favorite is the chopped liver - and their pastrami is good, too. (I don't eat their desserts)

As for the "no credit-card" rule - know it, and live with it. (and take cash - ATMs are nearby.)

It's not as good as its reputation... I like the Stage deli better...
