Leviticus 11:9-12 says:
9 These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
11 They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.

Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

Yes.However,in the New Testament,we are told that the food laws are now not applicable.
Acts 10:9-15"About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."
"Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."
The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."
It's got nothing to do with picking and choosing, hating gays,or deciding what verses to take literally. The law was changed-simple as that.A good Bible education would do wonders for some people on here.

New testament - unclean food rules were abolished. No shrimp is only ungodly if cooked uncorrectly.

Jesus called the crowd to him and said, "Listen and understand. What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'"

See also the story of Peter adn the sheet of all foods (Acts 10:17-11:18).

Also those that keep kosher don't mix meat and milk together. Some verse about not boiling the calf in it's mothers milk. So no cheeseburgers either if you follow the old law.

Well others have tackled the Ungodly part... allow me to address if its unethical. I'd argue that its unethical to eat any living creature that is capable of feeling pain. Shrimp fall into that category and thus I believe it is unethical to eat them. Many people would argue that God is the embodiment of ethics, and thus if something is unethical it is also Ungodly.

it's against the Jewish faith to eat shrimp for the reasons in the scripture against it's not Kosher. They don't eat shellfish or pork and also for 7th Day Adventists as well. My stepmom her parents and Aunt wouldn't eat it because they took a vow not to eat pork or shellfish they are 7th Day Adventists.

Why do you question this knowing that Christ came and fulfilled the Laws of the Old Testament?

Do you bless your food before you consume it?

If not, why not?

Jesus said we don't have to follow God's silly Old Testament laws. It is a case of the Son overruling his Father.

Jesus said it's what comes out of the mouth that is important not what goes in. Makes sense to me.
