If the Earth is 6,000 years old:
1. How can we see star light from galaxies that are billions of light years away (light traveling at 1 light year per year)?
2. If Mt. Everest was formed by any process that require 6,000 years or less, why is it not growing at a rate of 4.5 feet/year?
3. Why the continents are not drifting at a rate of 2,000 feet/year?
4. How oil and gas formed?
5. Who were Australopithicus, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homo Neandrathalis?
6. Why are whales and dolphins the only aquatic life to have metacarpal bones (mammilian hand bones) inside their pectoral fins?

Ignore, obfuscate or go into special pleading mode. Any theory, even a bad one, would at least TRY to explain these descrepencies.

This is really pathetic folks. You need to explain the existence of the evidence!

1 there is a Christian scientist, Russell Humphreys, who has theorized the earth was created by a white hole. Black and white holes were first theorized by Einstien long before a black hole was ever observed. But when they were observed Einsteins math was proven correct. A white hole has never been observed. However, in both types have space time distortion. Here is a link that talks a little about him and his theory. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Humphreys
2 and 3 we link these to the flood of Noah. There is a LOT of information about this. If you are truely interested email me,
4 I don't know as much about this one, but it is my understanding that oil forms when vegetation is submerged. They are finding oil in California where it is sinking. Here is a secular article that talks about oil being replenished when they have no understanding of why. http://www.rense.com/general63/refil.htm So guess it just doesn't take billions of years.
5 They are a group of people. Not sub human, just humans that look that way either by genetics or self mutilation.
6 Seriously, no idea. I guess becuase God made them that way probably won't work for you. But, on this one, sorry, all I have tonight. I will try to look it up.

Basically I believe God created everything that way. I'm not sure if I am a young earther or not though. Everyone who believes in Creation does not necessarily believe the earth is 6000 years old. Even so why could He not create the world the way it is and merely set things in motion. To put the continents or Mt. Everest the way they are is certainly not a problem for Him. When one writes a novel one doesn't necessarily have to start the story the moment the character was born. Do you understand what I mean?
As for Australopithecus, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homo Neandrathalis...Have you ever seen the bones that are actually found and not the "post-analysis" skull or remains that have been "filled in"? The Bible also speaks of the Nephilim that were not uh quite homo sapien.
But lets just say none of the above is true that these remains are different species. What has that got to do with the Bible? The Bible certainly does not claim that these species did not exist.

At first, I was gonna try to answer this; do a little reading, some googleing.
Then I thought, I really don't know much about Geology or how oil and gas are formed, so I am not gonna pretend that I do.
BUT
I could also ask you a thousand questions that you cannot answer, and problems with the old earth theory. Fact is, there are questions on both sides we can't answer, but consider that with an infinite God, anything is possible, while with no God to perform miracles, many of the inconsistancies with the old earth/big bang/evolution theories just create more problems. Then consider that the world-wide flood was not accepted by the scientific community until recently, when they re-examined the earth's crust and the fossil record. They say the flood had to be millions of years ago, but another possibilty is that the flood it-self was responsible for many of the inconsistancies in the young earth theory, when considering geology. I take my God who says he did it over your superior understanding of ligt waves and Mt. Everest.
I'll post some questions for YOU.

Yuri the Transgendered ванÑа speaks the truth. The lame excuses they try to pass off as explanations are funny. After sharing some of their comments with co-workers, one person actually told me that he now gets nervous out in public because he wonders if each person he sees is a dangerously stupid fundamentalists like those who frequent Yahoo Answers.

It is that simple. Evolution is as real as gravity and electricity. Creationism is as wrong as believing the earth is flat. That is why educated people think Creationists are, at best, stupid, if not insane.

I'm an archaeologist. I have seen the actual evidence. In fact, I've seen a majority of it. I've even excavated paleolithic sites in the Middle East. And, I was there when the Shroud of Turin was (accurately) dated.
Of course, no one has ever found any evidence, mention, or reference to any Jesus from the time he supposedly lived. There is not even any mention of Jesus in the records of Pontius Pilate or the historical records of Jerusalem.

THE EARTH IS BILLIONS OF YEARS IN AGE AND SO WHO THINKS IT IS NOT?
What ever happened in those billions of years, I do not know, [ AND I DO NOT KNOW ANY ONE THAT WAS THERE TO SEE IT AND THERE MAY BE EXPERTS IN THAT FIELD, IT IS NOT MY FIELD ] evidence or remains on earth tell the story, we do not need a book on it and what ever there was in all the time, it did not need the help of any person in 2007 CE. What ever was up to 6,073 years ago, is any bodies guess, or the field of some one else, but after 6,073 years ago, all that has happened since is explained and it has nothing to do with the age of the earth. By the time 7,130 years ends there will be a new heavens and a new earth.
IT HAS BEEN AWSOME ALL THAT TIME AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE SO.

To that list, you can add:
- Why do Arctic and Antarctic snow layers go back over 100,000 years?
- Why are traces of a natural nuclear reactor found in Africa, which operated 1.8 billion years ago?
- Why are there traces of ice ages stretching back 180,000 years?
- Why are the rocks in the Canadian shield showing radioactive dates of nearly 4 billion years old?
- Why, at the purported time of the great flood, were there at least three separate civilizations creating records before, during, and after that time, all of which have survived to this day?
Postscript: Evolution is a proven fact; details on request.

That's like asking you to explain your viewpoints without citing science. If evolutionists can keep their presuppositions, then so can Creationists. And as for your questions, the answers prove nothing, neither creation nor evolution. If it were that simple, we would all be one or the other. And no one needs to explain anything, anymore than scientists need to explain why their theories, including the big bang, are so full of holes that many of them have discounted them althogther, going back to the drawing board to come up with alternative theories. And there are many, none of them less reliable or provable than the big bang. But scientists who cling to the big bang don't like to talk about that. Why don't you spend more time researching your own area of interest before you try and prove someone else's false. You don't know why you believe what you do anymore than some believers who can't argue the validty of their beliefs.
Response: You're the one who said to leave the Bible out of it. I can imagine a lawyer defending a client, or prosecuting one, after being told to leave his law books and all evidence out of it. Just prove the guy did or didn't do it, leave information out. That's what you ask creationists to do when you ask them to leave the Bible out of it. The Bible itself is the proof for those having faith, not to mention the sheer credibility of the Bible once you have taken the time to read it, not to mention common sense, well there you have it. It takes a lot of faith for you to believe what you believe. The sheer amount of information incoded within one dna of a bacterium would fill a 1,000 page book. Where did that information come from? It is encrypted, it is specific, and it has an audience and purpose. Scientists are unanimously agreed that information must have an intelligent source. But, they refuse to apply this to creation. It astounds me. So you go ahead and cling to your faith that an amino acid formed independently in the sea (science now knows that amino acids rapidly detiorate in water) and then it formed its own DNA and RNA to form proteins to form cells to formed microorganisms, none of its component parts which can even be replicated in a lab BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Scientists can't even do it a little bit. They can't create the dumbest of the dumb, nor the parts that comprise the dumbest life form that ever existed. I give up. You prove that you don't have a clue what you are talking about. And as far as science, all science in a classroom should be presented as what it is: grand speculation complete with bells and whistles. That which can be irrefutably proven should be presented as such, but that excludes evolution, the big bang, carbon 14 dating - the validity of which changes with atmospheric changes and external influences, and any number of other theories that scientists present as cold hard fact when they are anything but, many of which have been dismissed by those who have advocated them. As for religion, I feel that a parental responsibility.

1. Nobody said the stars weren't created over 6000 years ago, just the earth.
2. Mt Everest was created along with the earth, so there was no "process" that formed it except God.
3. The great flood reshaped the landscape of the planet.
4. Oil and gas were put here on Earth by God for our consumption. All is provided for by God
5. Bits and pieces of bone we think are something that they are not.
6. Whales and dolphins are also created in God's image which includes hand bones.

There are, as you know, serious questions about the accuracy of carbon 14 dating. Also, if you read Genesis you will notice that God did not say that He created the universe or that the earth did not exist prior to the creation of man. He said that the earth was void and without form. The bible does not claim that the entire universe or even the earth did not exist in some form or another prior to 6,000 years ago.

You ask for an explanation to your many references, yet you say only answer what I want to hear. That is like saying: I want you to answer my medical questions, without referring to medical language. Quite obsurd. You are free to trust in science, I trust in every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
