he waits for me after class to walk with me in the hallways
he sits beside me if we go anywhere
he stares at me at class
he always makes kind of mean comments as a tease
he seems to laugh at most of my jokes
im not sure if he likes me as more than a friend..... are these signs too general to tell??

Yes, those are all signs of affection. Yes, in that case, i would say the waiting for you after class is a tell-tale sign, as he risks others noticing in doing so. Thus he is not afraid of arousing suspicion. Perhaps others have noticed as well. The sitting beside you is a desperate vie for your attention, as is the staring. The mean comments are a sign of his insecurity, he thinks you are too good for him, thus he must compensate in the best way he knows how. To put you down, is to bring you to his level. The laughing at the jokes is to make you appreciate him. I would say you have him on the tip of your finger, so do as you please!

hmm, he waits for you after class, sits besides you, and stares at you during class. Stalker! no lol I'm just kidding.
It sounds like he may have an interest in you. The only thing I'm going to say is be straight out open! While walking between classes, or at your locker, just straight out ask him. If he says he likes you just as a friend and can talk to you about everything, then that's awesome! Later on , few months, possibly years, something could develop into something great! If he does say he likes you, that's awesome too. Whatever the consequence, be confident in yourself. It will be worth while in the long run.

Sounds like he is attracted to you. The best way to find out is easy. If you have a better looking friend of yours can come with you while he is around, you can watch his action if he is still attracted to you not your better looking friend or he has been just switched 360 degree towards your better looking female friend. It is simple as that.

I would say that he definately likes you. That, or he's just really friendly, but I dont think that's the case. (well, unless he does that to other girls too).
