Like i have said many times before.......YOU DONT NEED NOBODY but your self first. You need to take care of yourself first than later on you could start thinkin about a b/f or g/f. Sure it's nice to have someone you can cuddle with or talk with, but you really need to just believe in yourself if you want to stop than i truly believe that you can. you shouldn't prove anything to anyone other than yourself. okay i guess i will talk to you later kay.

You really should find someone that you can talk to. It is important to have a few close friends that you can turn to when you need them (like now). It's not the quantity of friends that you have, but the quality. Try not to look at what you don't have, but rather look at what you do have. If you don't have many friends, join a club at your school, or take a class, or get involved in your community. Helping others always makes you feel better about yourself. If you have a counselor at your school, go and see that person. It is important for you to feel better about yourself, so that you can lead a happy, and fulfilling life. Good luck.

I think it is more important to learn about oneself and enjoy independence. Because one is alone doesn't mean they are lonely and it's a poor reason to want a boy/girl friend. I think it is also important to be able to depend on yourself alone,to be your own best friend because that person really knows the real you. It is also important for people to have social lives, just getting out around others will help ease your loneliness. Be a people watcher, listen and learn about everything around you. Know that everything will be okay, that you are valuable, lovable, interesting. Experience your life,if you love pottery for example, join a class. You will instantly have "potential friends/or more", and will meet people that have something in common with you,at least one thing. You can deal, you are strong, and you want to be happy. If you don't take any meds, maybe it's time to try it,could help alot. Much healthier than cutting and not eating,so self abusive. I wish you peace............

it is good to have a support system of family and freinds when you are going thru what you describe, which sounds like a lot of depression, possibly eating disorder. however, the worst thing for someone like you is to develop a dependent personality. having a boyfriend will not solve these problems. i believe you need to see a doctor and get help. in the state you are in, you really cannot even handle a relationship. you would probably invest too much into someone who cannot provide all that you demand, and not be able to handle a potential breakup. i know how you feel, though. when i was young, i was depressed and suicidal, and terribly lonely. however, while it feels like having a significant other would solve everything, trust me: it can't even work until you get help for yourself, and learn to manage life on your own.

Yes, it is definitely important to have someone to be there for you and support you. One of my best friends had a phase where she got into cutting and it scared me a lot. I tried not to get on her case about it but i also told her how much our friendship meant to me and how sad i would be if she left me.
I also asked her to consider the family and life she would leave behind. Maybe life isn't perfect now, but if you end it, you'll never have the chance to make it better.
You don't need a g/f or b/f to be somebody, all you need is yourself. I'm sure things will get better for you, just please have some faith in yourself and in God if you believe. I'm not a religious person at all but I am very spiritual and when there is no one I can speak to...I speak to God.

Yup, I think support is essential to get through any type of rough spot. Support comes in many forms though, and they aren't always necessarily friends or family members. Often it's better to seek professional help. Someone who is not involved in your life can often have a fresh, unbiassed opinion about your world and will more easily *see* solutions to problems. And, hey, seeing a professional means it's all about you, so that means, no feelings that you're burdening them with your problems, no worries about feeling emotional in front of them, or even making up depressing behaviour. Advantages, all around.

Why not go to your family doc and get a referral to talk to a psychologist. You could also rely on a telephone distress centre if you have to pay for psychological services where you live.Just get the ball rolling!!

After you start to feel better, you'll project that, want to get involved in extra-curricular stuff to meet people, and when you feel better, you'll have to trust that this will attract people into your life. I think you need to take care of yourself right now before you can welcome others into your life.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself, and try to make someone else feel good about themselves. Then you'll feel better, and your efforts will be returned. There's a song that says,
The world still is the same, you'll never change it
As sure as the stars shine above.
You're nobody til somebody loves you,
So find yourself somebody to love.
Sounds like the Golden Rule....

Ok, well this is just my opinion but we live in a society that engenders hostility in women--it's sooooo hard on us. Pressure to be perfect! Incredibly unrealistic. The message is :
Be perfect. Have the Perfect Body
Have more money than u can spend.
Don't be threatening ie; intelligent, assertive, etc.
Be, Do, and Have it ALL.
Yes, therapy. But shop around. Find one that u can work with.
Education is the only way out of this one~In My opinion ;) Ya gotta out smart them.

You are just confused. E-Mail Me. I am a very good listener and all the kids that are always around here are all very well adjusted so I might be able to potentially offer something that will make everything make sense.

HuH!

Send me a message.

Get counselling. Seriously, you need some help. Cutting is not the way of solving things, ever.
