Daytona brings out the worst in the crews and drivers as its the biggest race of the year and everyone wants to get in. It all started with Kahne, Kenseth, Sadler, and Riggs. Kahne and Kenseth had some technical things wrong with their car and failed inspection the crew chiefs got fined $50,000 and 4 races and then 50 owner and driver points. Sadler and Riggs, their crew chiefs got $25,000 and 2 races, and 25 owner and driver points. Michael Waltrip got $100,000, and 100 driver and owner points, and then his crew chief and director got suspended permanently, and thast kind of sad as usually the drivers dont knwo a thing about it.

Crew chiefs do not have points. The three types of penalties are:
Points deductions - Owners and Drivers
Monetary fine - Crew chiefs and Drivers
Suspension from racing - Crew chiefs, team members, and Drivers
