First let's define Infallibility vis-a-vis the Bible. When applied to the Scriptures, infallibility refers to the quality of not misleading; of being entirely truthful and dependable with respect to its message as a whole. Infallibility does not lend itself to affirming the complete truthfulness of every statement found in the Bible that is taken out of its context, or otherwise wrongly interpreted.
Along with infallibility, inerrancy is an inevitable corollary of the
doctrine of the inspiration of the Scriptures. At face value,
“inerrant” simply means “free from error.” But people
in fact have different ideas of what is meant by “inerrancy” as applied to the Scriptures.

Why do I believe the Bible is "infallible"? Well, this is a logival conclusion to my beleive that the Bible is the Word of God, is completely inspired. That the Scriptures are Inspired is taught (primarily) in two passages in the New Testament:

In 2 Tim. 3: 16, Paul asserts that all Scripture is God-breathed, i.e., theopneustos, which literally means “God-spirated” or breathed-out, indicating that the Scriptures are a product of God’s creative breath. The production and formation of the Scriptures therefore, are of divine origin; as much the product of God’s creative activity as the creation of man and the universe.

In 2 Pet. 1: 19 – 21, Peter asserts that the “word of the prophets,” (meaning the Scriptures) did not originate out of any
human initiative, nor did they emerge from any private reflections of holy men. Rather, holy men – the prophets and scripture writers – “spoke from God” as they were quickened and carried along by a divinely imparted impulse more explicit than mere guidance or direction.

The Bible is only infallible when it comes to man's salvation. There are many things in the Bible which have nothing to do with our salvation. They were written for cultural, historical, geographical, poetic or other reasons.
Have a nice day!

The teachings in the Holy Books are the word of the One True God.
The One True God is omniscient, so His word must be infallible.

If God wanted you to know what he expected of you, and how to live, then what good would it do for God to give you a book full of human errors? How would you know which of the commandments that God really wanted you to follow, and which ones were added by someone else and were false? What if some of God's commands were missing? How would you discover what the missing ones were? You would be better off not having a book at all if you were just going to guess at random what God wanted you to do.

Well, what do you mean by infallible?

It does not contradict it-self.

It's teachings are sound, and if everyone actually followed God's commands, imagine what our world would be like.

Very simply; I know my masters voice.

Given the hundreds of errors, and dozens of self-contradictions in the bible, to suppose that it is infallible is ludicrous.

Because I believe that God is powerful enough to preserve his word even in the hands of sinful men. And since it is His word it is infallible.

it is the most unique piece of literature ever compiled, considering the locations it was written, the number of authors it was written by, the varying cultures of all of those authors, its archeological accuracy, it's historical accuracy...just to name a few reasons.

oh, and the fact that there are so many authors all writing on their own theologies...

and there are no disagreements or contradictions.
