my boyfriend can't or wont express himself. we've talked about it a lot recently, and during these discussions he says that he will tell me how he feels about me, but then he still doesn't. and i don't want him to say it just because i asked him to either. i'm getting fed up of me telling him and rarely getting it back in return. i don't expect him to say he loves me, but just something. i'm seriously beginning to think that if he doesn't talk soon, i'm gonna walk. what do you all think about this?

Well, there is not simple answer to this question, but you could take a few things into consideration when answering this question:
do YOU love him? d you feel like he does love you? and are you really feeling like there is going to be a change?
If you answer no to any or all of these questions, then you know what you should do. dont put yourself under any unnessary stress.

First you cant pressure someone to tell you they love you and some people can not express there feelings that well. If you just starting dating and your already having a problem with the way he expresses his feelings then maybe it is not a good idea to stay together cause it will be a bigger problem later. Some people show how they feel rather than always stating it, does he listen to you and is there for you? That is just another way of expressing the way he feels for you.

Maybe he does not feel comfortable expressing his feelings verbally, that does not mean he does not feel a certain way. A lot of people are shy, and feel awkward when in that situation. This will go away with time, and personal experience on his part, if he is genuine. But only you know that. If he is not genuine than never saying such things is his way of not having to live a life of lies. He does not seem like a bad guy by your description, so if I were in your shoes I would be patient and try to be understanding of him. That will build trust and allow him to open up more.

I'm the same way. I Tell her I love her but that's as far as it goes. Guys like us just have a hard time doing that stuff. Love Its not always words its actions too. See how he acts around you.

if you put pressure on him he will never do it, he will tell you how he feels when he is ready.
