I have seen people here say that there is no need to look into this since the bible says god made it. What do you think? I am interested in how your religion beliefs influences your answer. Atheists, I know you dont have a religion, and I assume you would say of course its not wrong, as I believe, but feel free to comment.

Never fear the truth. Science seeks truth by logic and testing. If a religion can't resolve itself with the truths of our universe why believe it?

Did Jesus not say he was among other things truth? Do you really believe God would try to trick us by creating a false past for us to be found by investigative methods?

No. In fact I Enjoy reading Actual scientific evidence,
which supports the Bible!

There is always something to be learned, and certainly the origin of life is one of the more interesting topics that one might investigate. It is never wrong to do scientific investigation of anything; it is in fact almost certainly wrong to not do so. It is provable that only by science can we actually learn anything (details on request).

I don't understand any of the hullabaloo about science vs. religion anyway. Science making any discoveries as to the origins of life is fine by me. God's behind it all anyway. Scientific verification adds interest as to how God created what He created. And to understand the systems He created just gives us deeper knowledge of our Creator. We, as beings also created by the Creator, should know all that we can about ourselves and the other organisms also inhabiting this Earth with us. I don't think God would want us to remain ignorant about how, why and what makes us tick! Inquiring minds want to know....!!!

Of course it isn't wrong. Everyone should want to know the truth and there is nothing wrong with investigating something to find the truth.

I am a Christian. The Bible encourages man to investigate. I don't fear any results. I believe in truth, and that the Bible won't be contradicted.
