Sorry I can't help but I am curious to the answers to this question because I too, suffer from being cold all the time. I am from Indiana and it is cold here but I get cold clear down to the bone and my extremities are freezing!! I had my thyroid checked a few weeks ago and they said it was fine, so then I thought I had walking pneumonia but the x-ray showed nothing. There has to be a reason for this crap except for bad circulation! Hope we get some answers and in the mean time....I'll stay wrapped in my blanket!

Hello:

I hope that this doesn't sound like a really stupid question, but have you had your thyroid levels checked? Your TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone),test is done by your doctor who draws some blood from your arm,and they send it to a lab to see what your thyroid levels are. There are two types of thyroid disorders the first one is called,"Hyperactive Thyroid,"and this is a condition in which the thyroid produces too much of the thyroid hormone, and can be easily treated with medication. The other Thyroid condition is called,"Hypothyroidism,"and this is a condition in which your body produces very little of the thyroid hormone and it can be life threatning,if you have it and don't get treatment for it.

The thing is that alot of people don't know that they suffer from hypothyroidism, they just think that they are very tired and exhausted. Some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism is: Sensitive to cold, you feel really cold when others feel fine,or during the summertime, you can't stand to be out in the heat, because you tend to feel hotter than other people do,Your nails are very brittle, you have very dry hair that may fall out easily, and you feel VERY TIRED AND LETHARGIC,no matter how much sleep you get. I don't want to scare you, that is not my intent, but I would STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to go to your doctor and have them check your TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) levels. It is better to be safe than sorry, and if you do have hypothyroidism, you will most likely be taking medicine every day, for your thyroid, for the rest of your life. I hope that I have been helpful and please go and see your doctor just to make sure that everything is ok. (((HUGS)))) ;-)
