Whenever i put my hair in a ponytail it always has a big loose bump right underneath it and makes my head look wierd. I put my hair up by putting my head upsidedown and grabbing all my hair, but even if i pull it to make it flat it just comes back once i stand up straight again. How can i fix this?

Why bother? It doesn't flatter anybody's face shape. A tight ponytail always looks harsh, uninviting and uncomfortable. And it gives you a headache if you wear it all day long.

If you just can't resist the temptation to have this awful hairdo, stick some hairgrips in the bulgy bits. That'll pin it to your head and no-ones gonna take any notice of them.

Hair irons severely damage your hair and are not going to make it any easier, you've probably got very thick, healthy, heavy hair, that's what's causing the problem. There aint any bungees that are going to hold it in place.

If you haven't got thick, heavy hair - just stand up, point your head toward you knees, grab all your hair and then put the bungee in. If you must!

If I understand where the bump is, try hairspray only on problem area.Use more than one band maybe three or more.I do because my hair is very thick. You maybe have a cowlick hair growth pattern in that spot. Try layering your products.Like Mousse,Gel,Hairspray, alittle of each. Good Luck.

your not getting the band tight enough, i have the same problem, i have long thick hair, but if you tighten it as tight as you can stand ,it helps alot more
