I don't know how I would classify this, probably as OCD, but I feel that that's a bit more serious than what I have:

A lot of times, little, tiny things that don't affect other people bother me or make me anxious. For example, in class, if the teacher erases words off the board but doesn't completely erase it and little pieces of the words are still left - it makes my stomach sort of roll and I get little shivers down my spine and I want to erase it.

A lot of the times when I'm typing, I feel like I haven't pressed the R or L or whatever letter hard enough and I press it as hard as I can until it feels right. Also, if I touch something but I feel as if I haven't touched it with all of my hand, I touch it again.

These things don't happen all the time, but when they do I feel anxious and wary and I can't move on until I've touched or wiped or erased.

I think OCD is a bit more serious. What do you think?

well, you need to actually be diagnosed for all of this, but its the obsession that leads to the compulsion.. you're obsessed with doing some things, and it sounds like you're starting to act on it a lot... but I'm not a psychologist/doctor in any way, I just have psychology classes, haha...

And btw, I have the same thing with the chalk and the eraser!!! It drives me INSANE when the teacher doesn't erase the board completely.. it's always bothered me... but when you start erasing chalkboards for 9 hours a day b/c it's not getting clean enough, then yeah, you have a huge problem on your hands...

OCD occurs at different levels, some more severe than others...The way u claim that u feel "anxious" clearly indicates that these "little things" do in fact disrupt ur mental tranquility...

It sounds like OCD, but could be something different. I suggest a professional diagnosis. An accurate diagnosis will be critical to a successful treatment, and you sound very open and honest about your condition. It certainly sounds treatable, and I wish you the best. OCD is a very broad term, and you need to be very specific when dealing with this disease. ♥♥♥

with an over compulsive disorder, things like these happen. I am the same way. I get very irritated when I can't type as fast as I want to, & I get the urge to just punch the keys as hard as I can. I have to have all the cans in my cabinet with lables out, & if one isn't I take them all out of the cabinet, & make sure. I can't have my radio, or my t.v volume on an odd number. It is like having an itch, that you can't reach. I think that you have something similar, if not the same thing. As you get older, this problem only worsens, trust me. But it doesn't affect normal healthy activity. See your doctor, & explain things to him. He can help u.

I'm the same way with the hand thing, but that's about it. If you're worried about it, go see a clinical psychologist. Or, better yet, visit the Psychology forum. You have a better chance of getting help there.

I have Tourette's Syndrome (it's basically disappeared by now, though) and I used to have the exact same problem with the typing and touching. Computer Apps class was hell for me.

It sounds like OCD to me. It could be coupled with something though so you should probably go see someone.

well....your just really sensitive, and you have to do somethings until they are done right. The same thing happens to me, and nothing is wrong with me. So just try to forget about it and go on with life
