How do you know if a shy guy likes you??

Question

There's this guy friend of mine, that I'm developing a crush on and he's really shy, so I don't know if he likes me or not because one of his friends told me that he likes this other girl. But when he found out I like him he started to show mixed sign.....here's the signs he shows:
-when talking to me he looks at me for 2 seconds then turn away, as if he's nervous or something(so it's like he afraid of looking at me straight in the face and avoiding long eye contact)
-when we're alone he's always the one who's starting the conversation, like asking "how's your life going?" or "how's your morning?"
-when we're talking he smiles a lot
-he once called my name and wanted me to wait for him so we can walk to class together alone.
........so does he like me or is he's just being friendly?
P.S. He doesn't act like this when his friends, but often he's really quiet around everyone, and when we're in a group of friends he doesn't talk that much w/ me, but will only talk if I strike up the conversation.

well to basically answer your question:

he will laugh whenever you say someting even a little funny.

he will walk behind you or near you.

when you say you like him, he'll be kind of freaked out.
(thinking that no one could possibly like him, and let alone you)

he'll get nervous when he tries to hold your hand.
(his hand might shake a lot!)

his friends will say something to you.
(NO DOUBT!)

im shy and yeah its hard for me to tell girls i like them, but i like girls that make things easy for me and they just flat out say that they like me "take it or leave it"

he does like u. he talks to alone because hes shy and likes the alone time with u

if he is really shy and he smiles alot- my guess is he likes you- try asking him, this comes from an ex shy guy

u should feel something different from his actions,he w'd try to please or joke u 4 making u happy etc.
