Technically, being mammals, we all are. I don't see what's so bad about that.
The word "animal" always seem to be linked to cannibalism and lack of intelligence...in reality, I think humans can learn a great deal from other animals, like how geese fly south in the winter, or how bees communicate.
Although us humans tend to think of ourselves as "superior", I think it is OK to accept the fact that we are too inferior in other ways. For example, our bone structure is very prone to injury. Humans also have a rather narrow pelvis, which is why women have so much trouble giving birth.

Nothing at all. We are animals. We're certainly not plants.

There are two choices here- use the human element that has been in place for over a hundred years, or rely on replay to make sure every questionable call is correct. The umpires that are in place are the best ones out there- replacing one umpire with another will not guarantee any more calls would be correct. More calls are not being blown today than at any other point in history- our replay is just better. Umpires are still there because they do more than just call balls and strikes- they apply the rules, too. Judgment is going to be wrong from time to time- as long as they get the rule interpretations correct, which they do, they are doing what is asked of them.

This is not wrong, it is immoral.
Animals cannot teach and learn morality.
Man can and must learn to be moral. And the most simple principle is mutual love and respect among all mankind. Without this principle, the human society will fall lower than the animal realm, because the animals cannot device tricks against other animals, while immoral humans do!

Because God created mankind to rule over the animals and have dominion over them.
Genesis talks about that
True, we can learn from animals. God evens tells us to watch the ant and how they work to learn a simple principle of wisdom.
Animals have spirits only and function purely on instinct, while mankind has a spirit and a soul (that is where thoughts and emotions come from) which will have existence after life here on earth.
That is why it is wrong to liken the two, when they are clearly different.

It depends on the context and on the way in which it is said.
If we say humans are part of the animal kingdom, we are perfectly correct. But call your neighbour an "animal", and he just might be offended. Wouldn't you be? Because you would know that the intention is not exactly friendly.

Humans are classified as animals. And on my next vacation I think I will skip the fancy hotel and stay at an animal shelter.( a lot cheaper...but no pool.

There is nothing wrong with that. We are of the animal kingdom, we are animals.
This sick separation from the natural world is the reason we have such a devastating destruction of the things we need to survive, air, water and soil. If we accepted ourselves for what we are we would be much better off.

Human are animal. There's nothing wrong with it...Human are animal with smart brain but dull sense and weak body....
But heck yeah....brain is everything...it's make us the king of the world and make us linked to God. Without our brain, we're all must still live in the jungle looking for food...and I can't answer your question on the internet here...haaaaa lol

I have no problem with being referred to as an animal, in fact a couple of my old boyfriends... well, we wont go there. Seriously, as you say, we are mammals. We do all the things other animals do. Perhaps if we thought of ourselves more as animals we might treat our fellow creatures better.

Is there anything wrong? I don't see how 'animals' implies cannibalism myself.
However, t's a psychological fear that we have: animals are made of meat, and if we are animals, we are meat. Therefore we don't like to say that to differentiate our selves from the rest of the food chain.
