If the United States is ever to become a Christian Nation as Falwell wishes, he and his followers would have to destroy the freedom of religion assigned to us by the constitution and He wants money from you to destroy such groups as the ACLU that would fight him in the Courts.

Your not too far off.

Jerry Falwell is what is generally labeled as a "Good American" by our government, (GOP actually) because he encourages his fellow Americans to follow him blindly, and he shall lead them down the right path.

In other words, he discourges individual thoughts and opinions.

The ACLU is an organization whom encourages the exact opposite. Their sole purpose is to support and defend the Bill of Rights, and in doing so they encourage Americans to practice those rights, thereby encouraging free speech, thought, and actions.

Jerry Falwell would rather you thought as he did, or better yet, just sit back, write him a big fat check, and let him do the thinking for you.

Of first magnitude, you certainly would desire to seem up and attempt to comprehend the definition of impending. Believers have been taken to some distance worse activities than "the cleaners", which incorporate hangings on crosses, being burned on the stake, and pushed off of cliffs via the loads, and so on., and so on. I dare say you have yet to tutor the Bible incorrect at any time on your existence. you will possibly have proved a believer incorrect in the event that they misunderstood or misquoted, yet you will on no account, on no account, ever tutor there is no longer one God. you will on no account disprove the Son of God, Jesus the Christ got here to earth to save you and me from our sins! perhaps the genuine reason you're an "activist" is via the fact the Holy Spirit remains working on your coronary heart and making each attempt to allow you to renowned what's genuine and grow to be a worker for the Lord! I pray this might take place for you, allowing you to be conscious of the peace of God, a peace that passes all understanding.

Fundamentalist Christianity opposes the ACLU because the ACLU takes a stand for Americans' civil liberties. This goes directly against what Fundamentalist Christianity stands for.

If by "Jerry Falwell brand Christianity" you mean "Evangelical Christians" or just "Christians" in general, it's because we would like to keep our right to worship freely just as much as non-believers would like to keep their right to do whatever they want.

The ACLU has no purpose. There are laws in place, and the ACLU simply makes money off exploiting the lack of enforcement.

I'm not a Falwell disciple and I've had it with the ACLU. The only thing they are FOR is whatever hurts America. Just because you are a Christianophobe doesn't change the fact that you are wrong. Besides, don't your type subscribe to "all points of view have merit"? I am a closed minded bigot. I'm allowed to deny you your opinion. You aren't allowed to deny me mine;)

Because the ACLU is an enemy of Christianity.... Lets explore the whole equation..... First of all, liberalism has socialistic and Marxist roots. The Democratic party has been influenced significantly by liberal thought and have become the Neo-Marxists of today. They have changed the party and made it Marxist leaning. George P. Lakoff from the University of California, Berkeley is one of the fathers of Neo-Marxism and the ACLU and is a major funding and enforcement body that influences liberal and Neo-Marxist thought in the US.

Liberals and Neo-Marxists believe in the following:

-- Christians are obstacles to an "enlightened" society
-- Drugs should be legalized
-- Homosexual marriage is equal to marriage between a man and a woman
-- Against states legally mandating that parents be informed when their underage daughters have abortions
-- Abortion is good for society and is not killing a human being
-- Euthanasia is also good for society and not killing a human being
-- America is harmful to the world
-- We should appease our enemies
-- People should be allowed into the US without legal process and there should be open borders
-- Large socialized & state run programs with high taxation are good for society such as socialized medicine, transportation, media, products and services.
-- Believe in "income redistribution"--that is, the government taxing affluent Americans at a higher proportional rate in order to fund entitlements to the less well off.

Neo-Marxists want to change America by weakening the country as a nation and significantly destroying the social fabric that has been been built over 200 years of our existence. This is a cultural war, the stakes are high, and America is losing its sense of morality.

Btw, I'm a Christian as are 80 to 90% of Americans, but not a fan of Falwell.

The ACLU is messed up and has ruined our country, thanks to them, prayer was taken out of school, football players can't pray before a game, prayer was taken out of high school graduation, the Pledge of Allegiance was abolished. What has the ACLU done for the United States of America, other than push it to Hell?

Could it be because the ACLU is anti-America, and true Americans oppose the ACLU?
