There are many differences. Christian is a follower of Christ, while Catholics is the follower of catechism. Sorry also I don't mean to offend anyone but its it true that the Catholics is not purely base their doctrine in the bible. Like how the way should women dress up"1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1Ti 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. " The bible teaches a woman of God to be modest but as you see catholic do not practicing this. They believe in trinity which is not written in the bible. They also teaches to pray the rosary which also not written in the bible.
they have many erroneous doctrine to be list here

Christians don't bow down and worship idols such as Mary the mother of Jesus. Christ taught call no man your father (meaning a religious leader). Christ taught that there is only one way to the father (God) and that is threw Him (Jesus), the Catholics teach that you can get to The Father (God) threw Mary and the Pope. Christ taught that the correct Baptism is threw immersion in water, the Catholic do it by sprinkling

There are so so Many critical errors that the Catholics teach. Please read the Bible (not one from the Catholics) and read for yourself all the critical errors that are being taught by them, PLEASE !
If you read them for yourself then you will be blessed by the truth that Jesus said would set us free. Its very critical for your spiritual well being that you question your Religion, Jesus teaches that too.

http://www.bibleuniverse.com is a wonderful site that you can take a Bible Prophecy course. It will teach you all kinds of soul saving truths from the Bible. And it is all done strictly from the Bible.

God Bless and "please" do this for yourself.

Catholic religion is made up by man! The Pope thinks he can change the word of God! The word says he is the same yesterday today and forever. The catholics are into Idolatry--which is having other Gods. They believe a priest has to intercede for us to the father. The bible says Jesus died for us and split the curtain so we can have a personal relationship with him. Jesus intercedes to his father for us! Would you rather have Jesus Intercede for you or would you go to a priest who might go to Mary? Christianity is just what it is CHRIST wanting to lead you to the truth. To have a personal relationship with him. He will guide you>

The Roman Catholic focus upon the Pope as the living authority for the guidance of the church, for one. They adhere to the practices and traditions of Catholicism, which are thought to be not Biblical to Protestants.

properly, Catholics are Christians besides. we are no longer diverse in that sense, yet our ideals will variety maximum probable on many factors. A Christian is somebody who believes in one God in 3 persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit. via definition, a Christian is somebody who acknowledges Jesus Christ via fact the 2nd individual of the Holy Trinity and believes Christ is the Messiah and our Savior. in this, we are Christians.mutually, i'm specific. As for what Catholics have self belief: a million. The Trinity 2. The Bible via fact the Written inspired word of God 3. Oral custom is likewise area of the word of God 4. The Eucharist: We have self belief that the physique & Blood, Soul & Divinity of Jesus Christ is discovered thoroughly interior the Eucharist in the process the Lord's Supper. It *IS* the physique & Blood of Christ, no longer in trouble-free terms symbolic. 5. a seen Church. We have self belief Christ typical a seen Church, no longer an invisible church that's made up of believers. 6. A Steward. We have self belief that Christ restored the Davidic Kingdom, as a effect whilst He ascended into Heaven, He left a Steward as is in accordance to the Davidic Kingdom. We have self belief the Steward He left grew to become into St. Peter and his successors, the popes. that's in trouble-free terms a start up of the various info.

Roman Catholics follow rules created by the pope in Rome. (Things like not using birth control or not eating meat on Fridays during the season of Lent.) They also believe in sainthood and feel free to direct prayers to saints hoping that they will intercede for them. (Like saying a short prayer to St. Anthony to keep a loved one safe on a journey.) They tend to have statuary of beloved people that were important to the formation of the church prominently displayed within the church. (Like statues of Mary... many Christian groups feel that is dangerously close to worshiping graven images, blah blah) Back in the day, we had morning mass held in Latin. (My friends thought that was really weird and secretive.) Catholic schools freely teach about Darwin and evolution. And best of all, no one ever told me I had to burn my rock and roll albums or go door to door saving souls. (Although there were plenty of fund raisers for the poor and needy, remember the Rice Bowls, anyone?)

So, although Catholics are a sect of Christianity (religions that believe in Christ), they do quite a few things that other Christians do not believe in or find appropriate.

-well wishes

Catholic is much more strict in ways where they do not even allow their priests to marry. Also, you have to be baptised. They also ban certain things such as abortions. Chrisitans are a bit more relaxed. They have quiet prayers and their preachers and priests are married. Also, no off. here, but Catholics have very extravagant rituals.

At fist right after jesus there was only one faith that fllowed him the christians but then people like Martin Luther had thier own fake ideas on how the church should be. they made thier own faith and still called himself christian. Many followed him. people then started to make many different religions that fit them. because it was getting so confusing there was the catholic church who was still following the origanal faith. so there fore all catholics are cristians, so are methodists and lutherens. but catholics believe that out faith is the truth.
