Whatever your heart desires, though at this point I'll suggest you not get anything.
Asking here shows that you are not ready to commit, seeing as you don't have an idea design to commit to. Figure out what you want, then let the idea mature for a month or more, THEN get the tattoo.
I've heard foot tattoos tend to have ink "fall-out" more than other places. It could fade and become splotchy fast. nerve endings aren't a problem, though, except fo the pain factor. Any artist going deep enough to do derious dammage is a hack and belongs in jail.

get something that means a lot to you, I have 4 tattoos and all of them have a lot of meaning. I have two tattoos on the top of my foot and the bigger of the two is a flower with a design on each side in memory of my grandmother. The other next to it is three little flower that i got when a really close uncle of mine died. He always told me i needed to add to my first one so I did it when he past to help me get through it! I'm getting three stars on the inside of my foot kind of by the arch and ankle area to represent my self and my two best friend. We have such a close bond that we decided to get that tattoo. ALL of us are getting it done! So just search your mind and heart and think of something that means a lot to you. OR just get something you think is super cool and will like when you 70 years old! I think a butterfly would look cute there. Let me warn you that a foot tattoo hurts. I got cherries on my foot and it hurt alot. I also have one on my shoulder and back of neck and those didnt hurt at all.

NOT A DANGEROUS TATTOO Those people are idiots! I have 2 feet tats places don't like tatting there cause they fade...but a heart or flower would be cute :)
