Possibly. I do find, Doctor herbs, that when I approach a front door, instead of ringing the doorbell, I tend to ring my hands instead. This has had a disastrous affect on my career as a door to door salesman. In fact, I haven't sold a single door!

i count absolutely everything - i have this big thing about DOB's so for example let's say i am checking up a celebrities date of birth and date of death, i will have to count how many years they lived for - then i will have to look up their parents and see how old they were when they had this certain celebrity and so on. This isn't because i am interested but because i think that if i don't, something bad will happen. Then i have this big obsession with a door handle at home, where i have to make sure that it's been fully turned. My OCD has calmed down a low since my childhood years, but then i had a problem with blinking a certain number of times - touching things, looking at certain things etc etc....It was a bloody nightmare!!

I'm not officially diagnosed as having OCD, but I carry alot of the traits.

First of, I'm a counter - I add up every number, rearrange numbers in my head and make patterns out of telephone numbers, lisence plates and such. Sometimes I also allocate numbers to colours or letters and then add them up. I'm forever spotting patterns in things - 5 cars in a row that the lisence plate numbers all add up to 7 for example.

I wouldn't say I'm a 'cleaner' as such, as I've always believed that a bit of dirt does you good, but I do have an obsession with 'contamination'. I've tried figuring this one out, but it is totally irrational and I know there is no chance of me getting any diseases from using certain cupboards in my kitchen, or certain plates, but I'd rather be safe that sorry - just in case.

I also suffer from obsessional thoughts - I think the same thought (bad thoughts) over and over, and feel like thinking it will cause it to happen, and I struggle to not think it - in the end I end up chanting something like 'NO' over and over to break the cycle.

I also get 'locked' in conversation sometimes, my head will 'jam' on a word and I'll just repeat it over and over till someone stops me.

I'm also a bit fussy over order, but I don't know if it is compulsive. Well, it probably is obsessive, seeing as I get upset when things aren't 'right' even though I know that, logically, things are totally acceptable where they are. Things just have to be in the right place - mugs in the right order in the cupboard, things on the right shelf in the fridge, papers in the correct drawer.

I also suffer from dermatotillomania, which is compulsive skin picking. Some people don't class it as a form of OCD, but most do, seeing as it is uncontrollable to the most part.

Do I get in?

I clean constantly and if i don't i get upset, I also have to travel with my whole family or I think something will happen to us crazy, I know. the meds do help but not much. I'd rather clean than do something fun or with the family.
