This is about the 2nd month that I've been dating this guy and I absolutely love spending time with him. He's funny, considerate and we think similarly. There's only one problem: he never initiates cuddling and has never directly complimented me (yet I compliment him, kiss and cuddle with him and he doesn't protest). He calls me almost every night and we talk. On most weekends we hangout. Also important to note, he does all these things with me and we still haven't had sex yet, so he must care right? why isn't he more affectionate? Is it too early for him as a guy to do that? Also, I told him I would miss him as he mentioned leaving for the weekend, and he didn't answer. What does that mean? HELP!

I don't know if you've noticed this before, but sometimes men have a hard time expressing their feelings. I know, that's a shocker, right? Here's another one. He probably loves you deeply and that is causing him no end of grief as he does not know how to show it. But he does show it. Calling you every night? Hanging out on weekends? Something's there, or he wouldn't bother. Or the other thing could be he's gay. If that's true, he simply likes your company. Maybe you should ask him sometime, "why don't you try to sleep with me, are you gay?" He may not be happy if you ask him this, but you need to know. If he is not gay, then you might have to make a move. Be gentle with him please, it may be his first time.

That's just his personality. Not all people act the same. If he's spending quality time with you, accept that and stop trying to change him into someone he's not.

Some people just aren't that affectionate... I don't know if he's like that, or if he's just not comfortable with it or not... this is something you need to talk to him about.
