I want to enlist under 18xray a infantry man with a sf tryout sums it up the best. my main question is if I want this can I do it and can I choose to start out as a weapons if I want, I would also enjoy an engineer or inteligence seargeant but need exp b4 I can do that occupation. I wanted to be a weapons expert, but do not want to just fix them I want to use them, not murder but combat. there is no other way of putting it "I want to fight alongside the army special forces as one of them, I want to be a weapons" also does can I choose what i want to crosstrain in, for example if I want to cross train as both a engineer and intelligence seargeant while being a weapons to begin with?

First of all let me tell you that I am an Army Recruiter. 18X like all the jobs in the Army can be guaranteed right from the Recruiting Station in writing so long as you qualify for them. No one can enlist without picking their job first.

18X- you must be 21 yrs old to get that option. Airborne Infantry and Ranger options are open to males 18yrs and older.

The training is some of the toughest in the world. So make sure you work with a good recruiter who will work you out.

No experience is neccessary. Not only will we train you, we will pay you a good income to go through the training. Plus you get the benefits such as medical dental vision free college etc. This is true for any of the 150 occupations in the Army.

The Army is the toughest fighting force in the world. The only service to compare is the Marines.

cross training... not quite sure what you mean, i've only been in the army since august, but i do know that you can qualify in multiple MOSs - a primary, secondary, and so on. you can have as many specialties as you like. so, i guess, yes, you would be able to start out with weapons, as an 18 x-ray, and then go to school for your engineering, and intelligence MOSs.

I LOVE THE ARMY!

hope this helped, and good luck with your enlistment.

Your best bet is to go and ask a recruiter about all this. Why take the chance and get the wrong information from someone on here? At least the recruiter can show you in writing the answers to all your questions. Or, if you dont want to go and see one, then call your local one on the phone.

No, it doesn't work quite that way. You should decide your field of choice, weapons or intelligence, and go for it.
