i really dont know him all that well but if anyone could give me some "ice breaker" things to say to him that would be terrific
- he is my age and in my first hour class
-if i were to ask him, where should we go?
- would it be better if we went in a group?
please help!

hey. well i was in your position a month ago and what i did was i simply smiled when he looked my way, and kinda "bumped" into him if you get me, very suttle though. i said hey, how are you? or mention something about the weather. from there talk a bit, talk about the class your both taking, that way its something you have in common and it won't get awkward. from there i think you will able to handle it cause it will flow naturally. during this conversation, find out if he has a girlfriend, that way if he doesn't say something like hey would u like to get some food? (somewhere on campus) or something to drink, or sit. i think its best to go on a single date, no groups, a little bit more intimate that way you get to know him better one on one. hopefully he doesn't have a girlfriend, but if he does play it off cool and keep it just as friends. so good luck, i wish you the best, i know its a bit nerve wrecking, but you'll be fine. life is to short, so enjoy and God Bless =)

Go in a group or go somewhere that there are lots of people, for example the movies. The ice breaker could be to talk to him about the movie you really want to see and then slip in the line "would you like to come to see it with me" Good luck

i know how you feel. But personally, i think the best thing to do is take anywhere from 2 months to 2 weeks to get to know him. Then, get him alone (ussually done by simply calling them over) then ask "Do you want to go out with me?" DO NOT do it in a group, he'll feel inclined to say no to make him look tough. Don't tell hem in a note that could break you apart so quietly! Going in a group would be ok just to get to no hem and to show you what your like. And after that you could ask hem if he would like to go some were. Like a coffee shop our a pizza place.
