ok i'm 15 years old and in the 8th grade see i took this test
and i failed and i missed the retake and now i could have a D or F on my report card and i just wrote my teacher a note.
and iv'e never gotten a D or F ever on my report card. and i don't know if i should tell my parents or not. the teacher could tell them and i could get busted or i could try to tell them and risk them being mad at me. i can't exactly tell them. so what should i do.

This is not that 'huge' a problem.....just an uncomfortable one,
(and you will survive it, I guarantee!).
Tell your parents ASAP. This is what they are there for and perhaps they can get your teacher to allow you a retake.

If you've NEVER failed, why are you in the 8th grade if you're 15?
My son is 15 and he's in 10th grade - you should at least be a Freshman.

Anyway... It's better if you are up-front about the problem. Why did you miss the retake? If you were absent from being sick, your parents could write a note requesting that the teacher allow you the opportunity to make it up.

Also - how will retaking just ONE test bring your report card grade for the entire marking period up to a "C"? In order to get a D or F for the entire marking period, your grades would have had to be consistently poor for the past couple months. You probably should have approached the teacher for extra help a lot sooner than the end of the term!

Tell your parents what happend, and explain your position (what happend). Being honest upfront with them will be far less consequential than them finding out on a report card, or worse- a phone call from your teacher.

i started getting failing grades on my report card last year in 6th grade........trust me its alot easier 2 tell them then 2 have your teacher do it.......they would rather hear it from you......but either way they will find out

Don't tell them. If your parents get mad just say you did it because you love them and it will be alright.
