Gender means either male or female...

Sex refers to the male and female duality of biology and reproduction, a process in biological DNA that dates back 3.5 - 4.6 billion years.[1] Unlike organisms that only have the ability to reproduce asexually, sexed male and female pairs have the ability to produce offspring through meiosis and fertilization. The two sexes attract one another and communicate their readiness to procreate through differences in their biology.

An organism's sex category reflects its biological reproductive function rather than its sexuality other behavior. The female sex is defined as the one which produces the larger gamete and which typically bears the offspring. In contrast, the male sex has a smaller gamete and rarely bears offspring. In some animals, sex may be assigned to specific structures rather than the entire organism. Earthworms, for example, are normally hermaphrodites.

scientifically it means gender (or what sexual reproductive organs you have) its based on your genes. men's sex chromosomes are that of X and Y, whereas women are XX. as a result its also quite interesting to note that it is the male of a species chromosomes that determines whether the child conceived in sexual reproduction is male or female, depending on whether a sperm cell that fertilizes the egg holds an X or Y chromosome. so it wasn't king henry VIII's wives who were the problem :P as for the other meaning: well i refer you back to the way you would explain it to a child :P 'when a man and a woman are married and in love, they hug in a special way' :D P.S that was not to patronize you its just i love that explaination! :P

It means biologically whether you're a female or a male. And it could also mean what the adults do to make babies, haha...

And gender is whether you're more masculine or feminine.
