For the christians and other closely related religions: How do you know that all other religions are wrong? Why do all religions kill people that don't belive ( including the killing of Jesus). If one thing is true with 99.9% of religion it is about love and forgivness. Even tolorance. Why do you fell you must spread the word of God. Wouldn't God do that by "it's" self? Why do all wars revolve around God, and both sides say God is on their side? How do you know if God is speaking to you? I mean you could think that God is telling you to do something, and I can think God is telling me to do something exactly oppisate to you, which would balance the effect?

religion is a human invention to bring hope and something to strive towards. this is because the human mind tries to bring order to things around it as it cannot control its inner conflict and own inherrent dissorder

so religion is not wrong, but it is not nessecarily the right path, it is simply a means of maintaining sanity. this is possibly the wrong path for humans to take, but this wrong turn was taken a long time ago and will be difficult to change.

read 'the ending of time' by david bohm and someone else who are philosophers who discuss the mind in this way and explain it better than i can

There is nothing wrong with religion. It is people who make religion seem wrong.
What's really wrong with many "religious" wars/disputes is ethnicity, money and national distinctions; factors that would exist regardless of whether anyone had ever heard the word "God." The fighting in Iraq today is not really about religious differences, it is more of desire for political power. The same thing is true in Northern Ireland. The tension between Protestant and Catholics there has a religious component, but in essence the conflict is class-based and nationalist.
Killing in the name of God or belief, which shames every religion, ought to give the person of faith pause. But should it cause us to abandon faith? Would the world be better off if religion disappeared? Some people would say yes, but we can't be sure. But when we observe the horror of religiously motivated violence or hatred, maybe the correct question is, Without religion would it be even worse?
Men and women of all faiths must feel deeply chastened about the continuing violence in the name, of religion. But this does not mean we should give up those religious beliefs. Rather, we must practice our individual beliefs with sincere hearts and sober heads. Only then will there be a chance for the violence to stop.
Have a great day!

This is like saying "Why walking is wrong" or "Why philosophy is wrong". Anyone who thinks about what happens after they die is religious. This is why God tells us in James chapter 1 verse 27 that we can see religion's purity when dealing with orphans and widows. James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. When we care for the loved ones of the dearly departed without a spot of the world on us, we see purity. God's pure love shines through us. Religion that teaches you to listen to men blather while never getting around to teaching God's Word are wrong. Period. Religion that tells you your soul is not real are delusions of epic scales. Many other fantasy delusions shoot off as a result. People thinking about aliens, or monkey-men, or circular questions that only solidify their confusion. That is what comes from believing your soul is not real. Religions that ask you to act like a robot are against God. Religions that tell you the first one to show up in Jerusalem claiming to be Messiah is the correct one to worship are of antichrist. Religions that always talk about money are of Baal. They are spiritual chain factories. Religions that try to tell you they are not religious and/or invent new words for what they need are flashes in the pan. They destroy themselves. Religions with "new updated books to buy" are saying something regarding Jesus Christ has come to pass that is so much better! Wrong answer. All prophecy was fulfilled on the cross. These religions are wrong because they love Christ and yet forget Philadelphia and Smyrna. They outcast people and mess with something eternal. There is an iron rod coming for them. There's seven reason why religion can be wrong and false. I could be here all day. I enjoyed the question.

Thats a good question Jake. I wouldnt say that religion is always right telling you to not eat fish on Fridays or whatever imposed "rules" they enforce. If anyone believes in God they too should only be about love and forgiveness and tolerance. I am spiritual because thats all all of us humans are on this earth. Spiritual beings having a human experience. We shouldnt have to live by any special "rules" put down by some guy in a robe under one single roof, thats NOT living life to the fullest. God is in every one and every living thing.

It is up to No man, or group of men, to decide which religion is right or wrong. That is up to God, and He indicates what is righteous --vs what is unrighteous-- in His Own eyes, in His word the Bible. When a person's or group's actions are compared with God's/Bible principles, it becomes clear which is aligned with God, & vice versa ...

ok...first let me just say, it was not the Christians that killed Jesus...Jesus willingly went to die ok? he could have ran off easily but he didn't. and please do not refer to God, as an "It" that is insulting, and blashpemy. Wars are NOT caused by God...Humans are the cause. And those that say God is on their side are just using him as an excuse to make it ok. your next question..."How do you know if God is speaking to you?" well you just know...I know what you are probably thinking, I can't give an answer with solid proof...but let me just say that I have had God speak to me, and it is a strong presence, speaking directly your heart. and even sometimes it's like he's right there in front of you. but let me assure you, you will most certianly know when God speaks to you. you will have absolutely NO doubts. Islam is the religion you need to be questioning. those people are full of hate, and go around murdering people all in the name of "allah" which is a load of crock. why would anyone in their right minds want to worship a God, that teaches it's followers to hate from infancy, and to kill anyone who does not convert to Islam. personally I think those people just want to kill people because they are so morbidly brainwashed they actually think what they are doing is right. and then use God to make it ok. I would much rather worship a God who teaches love, and mercy over some god that teaches nothing but hate any day of the week. MY God is a loving God, who died on that cross for me, and everyone else on this earth..because he loved us so much, and wanted us to be with him. He gives us the choice to come to him, and WE make that decison to follow him on a path of righteousness, or not. He doesn't want us to be a bunch of robots who are told when to pray, when to eat, when to worship. He wants us to do those things because we WANT to, and because we LOVE him. isn't that incredible? I'll never understand how he could love us so much considering how evil and corrupt the human race is nowadays, but he does, and he must think we are pretty special, and very much worth dying for. and I thank him every night and day for loving me so much. talk to God, and ask him to reveal himself for you, and he will. just ask him to come into your heart, and if you truly mean it, he will. and if you believe that Jesus is your Lord and Savior then you'll be saved, and that's it...your all set. you'll see.

This is a crisis of testimony. Here is my advice:

Religions are followed by people; people make mistakes. I believe God never wants religion or beliefs to be forced on us. He gave us free agency so that we might make our own decisions; even if it means our decisions turn into mistakes. God places people in your path, and He might be working through you to help them, or vice versa.

It is difficult to say what God is telling you. You must exercise your spirit through prayer and scripture study. Pray often and open your heart and mind to what God might be trying to tell you. Pray that He will help you hear Him.
God bless

Religion seeks to stifle independent thought and creativity.

To worship a God, you don't need religion.
Religion is the man made dogma, ritual and bureaucracy surrounding the worship of a deity(s).

Christianity is **NOT*** about love and forgiveness- its a cult of hatred and intolerance..

Its an irony, given that Jesus Christ, the man, was a man of peace and compassion.

I think the world of Jesus, but am repulsed by the Christian religion.

Religion is not wrong. The way we practice religion can be wrong. Well maybe that part of the Koran that tells Muslims to kill infidels wherever they find them... is wrong.
