A queen size bed is bigger than a double sized bed. These beds are more spacious than the full sized beds. The King size is the largest amongst the beds and is more wide than long. Nowadays, the latest sizes in the market are tagged with California and these mattresses are longer than the corresponding mattresses of normal sizes.

It is slightly wider than a King. It's length is shorter by 5 inches (or 9 inches for a California King).
