This is one breed of dog that needs something done about it! The police should work with the dog catchers to impound them with very steep fines to the owner if they are running lose. Seem like the only people who are getting hurt from these dogs is the innocent! I hate it when someone buys a mean dog or makes a dog mean to protect their place. Then they get lose and kill someone just walking down the street.

It's a problem! Pit bulls can be great dogs, but they have a bad reputation because they are often owned by the wrong people for the wrong reason and may have been obtained from a line of dogs bred for aggression and fighting!

I think the best we can do is advocate responsible dog ownership. Check with the Humane association in your community to see what you can do to help. Report any dogs that are running loose. If you get unsatisfactory results when you contact animal control, seek the assistance of local groups, the police, your community government officials, etc. Push for strict Rabies regulations and hefty fines for owners who repeatedly let their dogs roam (or who don't do enough to keep them safely confined.)

All dogs deserve to be loved and well cared for. And any dog can present a problem to public safety if it is vicious, untrained or even just scared. Outlawing specific breeds is not an answer. Responsible dog ownership is a must.

Again you stupid a$$ something needs to be done about the bad owners. To blame an animal is just not right. The only thinking, reasoning being on all of this mees is the human. Get rid of pits these macho a$$ wipes will start with another large breed of dog and you will have the same thing only with another breed. You need to do some home work. Bans on breeds have never worked, yes they get rid of the "bad breed" of the moment but there is aways another to take its place, 70's dodies, 80GS, 90's rotts now pits. To prove that any dog culd be trained to kill a group of dog fighters used a most surprizeing breed, chihuahuas, they got big laughs see the little dogs tear each other up. It is not likely that one would ever kill a human but it makes my point, any breed and be tortured into becoming a monster and we need to find away to stop that before all the warm and fuzzy laws being passed takes our right to own any dog away.

a million) particular breeds interior the category 'pit bull' were selectively bred for canine aggression. this is basically encouraging their prey force to kick in and giving them a sturdy feeling about it. no longer to point the get entry to to unlawful elements which some human beings interior the struggling with international maximum likely use on their canine. So all in all this isn't any longer technically forcing them, this is encouraging the trait by potential of genetics and 'conditioning'. ANY breed or mixture of breeds might want to be utilized in struggling with, 'pit bulls' are basically commonly used and get the worst of the acceptance for it. 2) I have considered others i like more effective powerful. this is sweet and can want to easily attain some besides the actual shown reality that I doubt it. maximum human beings when you think about that variety of existence do not care about canine and couldn't care a lot less how lovable they're. till canine struggling with will change right into a criminal offense that has serious outcomes idiots will proceed to take area. 3) i count number on stricter enforcement of rules already in position besides as requiring a license/inspections to reproduce different bully breeds. I help OSL no longer BSL! 4) this is referred to as a spring-pole and is largely tug-o-warfare without a persons shoulder being dislocated. I have one in my backyard for my canine. My neighbor and that i both use it (this is on the sources line) and neither of our canine have canine aggression or might want to be labeled as vicious (My male is worry-aggressive and has made progression in leaps and barriers. A stranger petted him the different day and he easily looked as if it would appreciate it.) Tug-o-warfare is a debate for most human beings. It does no longer inspire aggression on this is own in spite of the undeniable fact that some human beings evaluate it an 'off-limits' interest for his or her canine. there is no longer something you may want to do except the canine is authorized to run at tremendous, shows aggression in course of you even as unsecured or easily is going after someone.

If people have pit bulls it's none of your business unless a dog attacks you. Stop trying to tell everyone how to live and mind your own business.

I see you on here all the time talking about Pits. Your always talking bad about them, but it seems like to me that your fascinated by them, because that's all you talk about. You have no clue in your little mind what a Pit Bull is really like. Own one then get back to me, but until then I think you need to slow your roll a little bit, because you really have no clue.

You do what you do with any other dog. If the owner is letting it run loose to terrorize the neighborhood and park, you call the cops or animal control. If it's inside it's fenced yard or on a leash walking beside it's owner behaving itself you mind your own business.

Its not the dogs fault that it's mean. Its the person who owns it. They are the ones who teach it to be that way. My uncle had a pitbull and she was the nicest thing ever. Didn't even bite the children. But he was out lose in their yard, and a neighbor felt threatened, so they had to get rid of it. It's all nonsense if you asked me.
