Hitler WAS killing Christians (just not Catholics). Haven't you ever heard of Pastor Neimoller?
Roosevelt was a die hard evolutionist who didn't want the Jews to come to America. Hitler offered to ship them here, but Roosevelt said no.
Ironically, Europe cleansed itself of Jews, and now they have Muslims.
Do you think it was a good trade?

Because we were guilty of aiding the Germans, and had a small Holocaust of our own going because of what was happening in Europe. You just don't learn that in history class so they act like they didn't know what was going on.
Gays? I'm talking about Japanese.

The refusal to believe that people could be that evil I think. Just like now they are getting away with alot of things that they couldn't 50 years ago just by changing what they call it. Much like the Nazi's did. Instead cold blooded murder of millions of people they called it The Jewish "solution". Now it's the murder of babies in the womb but they call it "Free Choice"

At least part of iw was that no once could quite bring themselves to believe it. People were hearing rumors of terrible things, but quite a few chalked it up to propaganda...which (if I may remind everyone) was flying everywhere. Others simply didn't want to believe that anyone would want to commit--never mind carry out--mass extermination and genocide.
Today, of course, we have at least one or two of them going on at any given moment around the globe.

I understand that the magnitude was much greater than they thought when they finally got their troops in there to release them.

Gee, my history class failed me. I wasn't aware Hitler had gays killed. I think its not nice of you to insinuate that we didn't get involved because they were Jewish. My own personal opinion is that we didn't know the extent of what was going on, or there was no general consensus of how to handle it.
