I love to drive, but there are a few things that other driver's can do that really frustrates me because it doesn't make any sense why they do what they do.
1) Super slowly making a turn on a green light. That happened to me today and is why I am asking this question. There's nobody in front of them, nor is there anyone walking across the street. Don't they realize that there are cars behind them trying to make the light?
2) Tailgating. Is it really that important to get so close that you can read the other driver's expiration tag? Even if they are going too slow, tailgating won't make them go any faster. It just will make them go even slower if you pressure them enough. Some will even slam on their brakes -and guess who's at fault?
To me, the rule of thumb of being a good driver (besides obeying the laws of the road) is to make sure you do not mess up the momentum of other drivers. I hate when that happens to me. How about you?

Great question- I applaud! It gives us readers a chance to vent as well as answer your question.
I do a lot of driving ( I drive 130 + miles a day to get to and from work) and usually like it except for those certain people who make it unpleasant. Generally, I can sum up those behaviors of drivers that I hate up into two groups; "unsafe drivers" (those who put others on the road in danger) and "inconsiderate drivers" (those drivers who assume they are the only driver on the road that mattters)
To narrow some down to specifics include:
1 drivers in the fast lane who go neck and neck with the driver in the slow lane so no one can pass
2 drivers who will cut you off at high rates of speed just to get one trivial car ahead
3 drivers who dont grasp the concept that turning left on a round green light means they have to yeild to straight traffic
4 drivers who stop on a green turn arrow when turning left becuase they don't grasp that they don't have to yeild to straight traffic
5 drivers who will go 90 mph in the passing lane just to get in front of you before it goes to one lane only to slam on the brakes as soon as they are in front and do 55 the whole rest of the way
6 etc. etc. etc.

1. People on Cell Phone - Jerks talking on their phone and are completely oblivious to what is going on around them. Then they act like its your fault when they drift into your lane and cut you off.
2. No Turn Signal - Idiots that have no idea that they come with the car.
3. Improper Turn Signal Use - ******* that think just because They turn on their signal, all the rest of the traffic should just part like the Red Sea. They believe that their signal means everyone must yield to their lane change.
4. Morons that go twice the limit to pull out in front of you, then go half the limit once there. Especially when there is NO traffic behind you.
5. Impatient people that tailgate and pass you unsafely. If your in that much of a hurry, leave the house 5 minutes earlier.
6. School buses - Schools should be in session from Midnight to 6 am to keep those slow buses that stop every 15 ft. off the road during normal driving hours.

1. Littering
2. No signals
3. No lights in fog or rain
4. Driving in left lane of Interstate but not passing anyone
5. Talking on cell phone
6. Tailgating
7. Crossing centerline on 2 lane road out of laziness
8. Flipping cig butts
9. Pickup truck owners who let trash blow out and think that's okay (see #1)
10. People who have to back in to parking spaces but can't do it in one try
Idiots who tailgate in big SUVs should be sentenced to driving a tiny little Smart car forsix months.

well, i hate it when people see you coming and want to pull out in front of you and go about in a 45 that make me really mad, the tailgating thing really isn't good, i am one of those people if they do it to me i will slam on my brakes , if they are going to slow i will just go around them or if they turn to slow i will honk my horn at them ,so it is better to be safe than sorry i have to think before i act because it does make me mad when people do stupid stuff

did not understand, didn't even read the whole thing. Snowbirds drive me crazy. Going 25 in a 45. entering a 65 going 45. Just wait til they leave. God you must be really pissed off at it if your wasting 5 points asking someone to give you brownie points for no reason WHATSOEVER. Sorry he or she cut you off. You ok now? lol

tailgating is my biggest one, i drive a big heavy truck and little civics and corollas and such will be right on my bumper, i just think to myself
"do they even realize i could decide to end their life right now?"
all i gotta do is slow down a little, then they would find themself on the receiving end of a 7000 pound bitchslap.
the other thing is people who dont use a turn signal to change lanes, i acctually knew someone once who said "i don't need to im not turning, just changing lanes" like i said, i KNEW them, they are dead now because of it.

People who don't clear the snow from the top of their roofs. It always blows off into other people's windshield so they can't see making winter driving even more dangerous. Tractor trailers do this a lot too.

One of the big things I see in my area is someone driving a car is seeing a person talk on a cell phone in one hand and drinking a latte in the other hand!

geez, there are so mny, reckless driving, trying to get one car ahead on the freeway, people who talk on there phones and dont py attn to what they are doing, etc etc etc,,,,BUT THE 1 THINGTHAT PISSES ME OFF MORE THAN ANYTHING is during traffic when cars are flowing through an intersection someone stops to let another car who has no right of way turn in front of them or someone who is just pullng out of a lot,,,, causing everyone who has been waiting on the light to miss it.
