I had a volleyball tournament all day today so i was sweating alot..

i got home and washed my face and some water dripped down my arms towards my elbows and it stung like heck and they turned red and splotchy.

the water wasnt burning hot or anything, just nice and warm, the normal temperature... But now im kind of afraid to shower, i dont want to have this all over my body, its really sore and itchy.

I put cortisone cream on it, but yeah, it this normal???

Just soap and water... plain unscented normal soap.

Water usually drips down on my arms when i wash my face but it never really hurts me... =S

Maybe the water had chlorine in it? I'm allergic to chlorine and it makes my skin red and splotchy.

It sounds like a chlorine allergy. If you have city water, the chlorine levels vary on a daily basis. You can buy a chlorine filter for your shower and problem solved. They sell them in most natural food stores, I got mine on Gaiam.com

P.S. You can develop new allergies at any time in life

*sigh* Water won't burn your epidermis except it is boiled, the climate do no longer discriminate. do no longer be an fool, maximum Satanists believe in a God long formerly the bible grew to become into ever even heard of, the God they compliment is Enki (Who isn't "evil"), yet he's the comparable Deity the christians declare to be their adversary.

Was there something on your facial skin? maybe a product that your face is used to, but your arm skin hasn't been exposed to? Otherwise, this sounds very strange.
