Just tell him that you want to slow down and see how things work out. If he really does care, he'll understand.

I think you should tell him how you feel and maybe ask him to slow down a bit. There are no rules for dating so make up your own. If you are uncomfortable you should tell him. Being honest is the best way to go.

your not being weird at all
i think it's kinda quick for him to be saying i love you even if you have dated before. Tell him you think he's moving a bit to fast and ask him to slow things down a bit. If he really loves you he'll understand

Ask him where he sees the relationship going... maybe he made a mistake once by letting you go and forgetting about you.... maybe now he dont want to lose you agian.... BUT if you feel that he is taking it too fast... DO let him know..... ONLY YOU can tell what you want in a relationship with him... no one else can tell you what to do.... good luck

you don't give your age. kudos to you for being up front and asking him out. that's a very mature thing to do!!
holding hands can be fun. I Love You is said too often and has lost its meaning. if it feels like he's pushing you, that is your warning system telling you to slow down. just have fun and date.

Holding hands isn't rushing it.
Relax. If you feel he's going too fast for you though, just tell him how you feel but holding hands is not really a big leap.

you should tell him what you just told us!
relationships buit on lies just hurts everyone!
tell him you like the attention, but its just at too much of a high.. and tell him you dont know what love is yet! and you dont want to end things, just take it down a few notches!
and if he does not change. find someone else who can respect you better!

You sent him the wrong signals. Find a way to test his intention. He may be with you because he sees an opportunity.

I think he is just making up for the lost time when he was nervous. You might want to be careful though. Try consulting him, but be gentle, you don't want to scare him off.

Imagine that. You wanted him when he played hard-to-get and now that he is coming to your way of thinking now your back peddling. Whats up with that?
