If you look at the way life works, we don't choose to live. We are born with a survival instinct that gives us an innate desire to live. And the pleasure of sex is what baits most people into reproducing, usually by accident. If life is the product of intelligent design, it seems to me that the designer has made life in a way that forces us into it, traps us in it and coaxes us into producing more life. I never really thought about it that way before. Have you?

Yeah, but this doesn't change the fact that built in pools are cool, and farting is one of the personal pleasures in life.

If you believe that we existed prior to our birth, as some Christians do, than we are given a choice of existence. Thus, a creator who grants all free will gives all a choice. If we choose to be born and experience the challenges and joys of life, it isn't a trap. It is all a matter of perspective.
The existence or nonexistence of deity cannot be proven with logic. Religionists have an answer for everything just as the atheists.

Civilizations have fallen before when they got of track. Maybe that's why it's called the straight and narrow. Your attitude seems like that of a victim. Men at sometime are masters of their fate, the fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings.

Shakespeare has lots of wisdom that could be spiritual laws to use and contemplate.
