From research and knowledge, Labradors and Beagles are the best dogs to have, tempurture wise and looks (my opinion on the looks.) If you are looking for a smaller dog that is great and will be healthy and live long, go to your nearest Humane Society and grab a little (or big!) mutt. Research shows that they have a stronger amune systym. They are probably more friendly, too.
Go to this website, http://www.pet-dog-magazine.com/popular-dog-name.html to get good dog names.
My personal favorite names are:
Dakota
Sammi
Molly
Cooper
Lily
Buddy
Marisol
Anna
Levi

Look I think it depends on how active you are and what you want to get out of the relationship. I think small dogs are cool but a bit temperMENTAL. Herding dogs are great if you are real active and giant breeds if you want a big baby, lap dog. I am getting a great dane and naming him Koda. You can go to breeders.net and research all the breeds and find one right for you. It does not matter how big a home you have as long as you go for the routine walks and exercise it will be fine whatever size and breed group

It really depends on what kind of standard you want to meet. If you want a big dog a Lab, or a rottweiler area good choice. If your looking for a dog that doesn't shed than a poodle or a bishon frise are cute. If you want a small apartment dog chihuahua's or carin terriers are perfect. I like the names Simba, Timon, Kovu, Sam, Whitey,Colinad, and Elvis for guy dogs. For girl dogs I like Cheetah, Sheila, Princess, Kiara, Kya, Kiwi, Coconut, and Baby. Good Luck finding the right dog!

I named my chocolate lab Kiara after Simba's daughter in "The Lion King", but you should wait to see the personality of the dog before you plan on giving it a name.

Am i the only one which thinks a breed should not be chosen by using fact a attractiveness suits it suited? that's the main ridiculous element I even have ever considered. you're able to under no circumstances pick a dogs by using fact if its looks. you're able to come across a breed that suits your existence-type and then call it. era.

I have a lab named Chase and a lab/border collie mix named Tucker. I find that after you get your puppy and spend some time with him/ her, the way she looks and her personality will tell you what name fits her

Please dont get a working or sporting dog if you live in the city. That is just plain cruel. Small dogs were bred to be indoor dogs. Maltese, Havanese, Shi Tzu are all very good dogs. Name him Junkyard Willie.
