Where can I find a cheap one too?
Thanks!
P.S. How long will it take me to become a better singer? (weeks, a few months, a year...)

Different people progress at different speeds. Some people make improement in their first lesson or two, and then not a lot of noticeable improvement for a while. When you take voice lessons, you're training your body to sing correctly and that can take some time and energy. One thing is for certain, however: if you don't practice, you will make little if any improvement.

Visit http://www.nats.org, find the "Find A Teacher" link on the left side and then it will ask you to put in some information. If you just put your state, it will come up with all the teachers who have listings in your state. Lessons will cost between $30-80 for many instructors. For a less expensive option, you may wish to check with the local universities. Many schools of music or conservatories have a student services or general administration office; if you send an email to them, you may be able to ask if there are any vocal performance students who accept students, and what their rates are. My first vocal instructor was a student working on her Ph.D., and she was better than an actual professor I had a few years later at another University. She only charged $20 an hour, which I thought at the time was expensive but later learned was an unbelievable deal.

Good luck!

i dont know where you can find a cheap coac,,sorry!!

but I am a coach and the answer to the second question " How long wil it take for me to become a better singer"...it all depends on if you do your "homework" or not...meaning you practice when you are not in practice..

I have seen people improve by leaps and bounds in months ( sorry never weeks)...that is the amount of time you will need to really learn techniques etc...

i wish you were in fla...good luck on your search!!!!!!!!!!!
