How do you deal with people who act like they're better than you and put you down subtlety. Especially if you're shy.

Totally disregard them. No one is better than you are. Just as you are not better than anyone else. You do not have the time to waste on these people, so forget them, and move past it.

I do my best to ignore their attitude. I try to know more about what they are talking about so I can attempt to casually correct them if they begin talking to me in a condesending way. Remember that condescending people are MAJORLY insecure. The only way they can feel good about themselves is to break down others. You are a good person and I would walk away.

I ignore them. If they continue to try and engage me in conversation in a condescending manner, then I confront them. That usually will shut them up.

Hold your head up high, smile...be polite...in other words, kill them with kindness. That works everytime, not to mention it makes them look like a boob and you will come out smelling like a rose.

I stay away if I can and if I cannot I do not let myself buy into their garbage....
