I have this guyf who Im kind of close to. I asked him to come with me to take my car to a repair shop. So the car is driving really crazy. Its like you have to do certain things to keep it driving or it'll cut off. So Im driving it 1st and it cuts off some but not alot. I got tired so i asked him to drive. Thinking maybe he'll figure how to make it stop stopping. When he does it starts cutting off even more. I realized it wasnt doing it as much when I drove it. He said he was fustrated with it so I offered to drive again. He just keeps sayin he can handle it, but it keeps cutting off. I knew what he was doing wrong and I tried to help. He gets really irritated just because I told him "maybe I should try again." So he's like "Here you can drive, come on," but he says it in an irritated way. He never gives the wheel back. It keeps turning off. Everytime I tried to deal with the repair man, he just kept takin the phone from me. Is he power crazy or am I too independent?

Its not that I dont want him to do it. I just know when I was driving it was better. This is my ex. He has never irritated me this much ever in my life!

its his ego that wont let him admit that you were doing it better.
especially if thats your ex, he felt like you were trying to make him look stupid
he was getting irritated because he felt stupid,guys are always "supposed" to be better at the mechanical stuff than girls
it wasnt your fault that you know your own car
no wonder you broke up with him he sounds too proud to beg

You should tell him that its your car and you know your own car a lot more that he does and to keep quiet you know what you are talking about and the mechanic should of spoke to you so he knows how you kept it from going or shutting of so that he could of figured out what was going on better. You are enjoying your independence, next time it comes to your care leave the x at home. He does sound like he doesn't like you to be independent. Its him, not you, take care Heather

An ex is an ex for a reason! Personally I think men don't like when a woman can handle a mechanical issue better than them. was this a problem when you were first together? If so maybe you already know your answer.

we are no longer informed wherein united states of america/state this incident handed off. in spite of the fact that, I trust the Jew lady to tell off the table clerk. Dont have self belief in discrimination via faith or race or colour. i think you may in trouble-free terms discriminate between "sturdy" and "undesirable". i'm no longer a Jew, yet there is not any longer something incorrect being a Jew. Jew is ethnicity basically like English, Dutch, French etc. confident, that's sturdy to tell the table clerk off.

i dont know that much about cars! but i do know about power hungery men!!! maybe he is just angry about the whole break up and was showing his feelings from his power. he is not always right you know!!!!! and your not always wrong!
ya you are wrong sometimes, but he was tottaly shutting out your opinion! there is really some fealings going on with this guy. and if you want to be friends.. i dont know... maybe you should figure out his deal

This is just normal male behavior...fixing cars and things are our engrained duty just like it is yours to bear children, if you make us feel inadequate we get irritated (this is what your bf was thinking)
